Men, are you thinking about holiday gift ideas for a woman in your life? Being a woman myself, I can tell you that there are some things you should definitely not give to a woman as a holiday gift. Here is my list of worst holiday gift ideas for women.

This is not meant to sound rude, so take it in the light-hearted matter with which it is intended.

Worst Holiday Gift Idea for Women - A New Set of Pans
Come on guys, you can do better than this. Unless your woman specifically tells you that the new set of pans is the only thing she really wants for Christmas, a set of pans is not a good idea. It can imply that you feel her most important duties are in the kitchen. There's more to you woman than just cooking duty. Find her something that will show her you know that.

Worst Holiday Gift Idea for Women - Appliances
This is the same concept as with a new set of pans. If an appliance needs replaced, this should not be counted as your lady's Christmas gift. This applies to most household items as well. If something is needed for the home, it should be done outside of the holiday gift giving. Again, there's more to your woman than items that have to do with your home.

Unless a woman has told you that this is all she wants for Christmas, do not buy her a gym membership or exercise equipment. She may think you are hinting that she is fat or out of shape. This is a tricky call. Lingerie could be good if you know her exact size, or if she consistently wears lingerie. But if the size is wrong, it could lead to disaster. Too small, and she may think you want her to lose weight to fit into it. Too large, and here we go again, she thinks that you think she's fat. Giving a woman lingerie for Christmas could backfire in another way as well, especially if she never wears it. She may think that you don't find her sexy enough, so she needs to wear lingerie. Remember the possible outcome of the gym membership/exercise equipment? Not a good gift idea.
