Would My Priceline Hotel in Tallahassee Be OK?
Staying at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Tallahasse is a Great Choice!
I was quite excited when my bid of $40 for a 3-star hotel was accepted. By the way, 3-star was the highest level they offered in Tallahassee. So, I did do some research first and saw that I wanted to be in the North area of the city for the best-reviewed hotels. I then decided I'd start low, $40 for the night when it was being offered regularly for $95. I knew it was a long shot, but.....I got it! My bid was accepted and my hotel was the Holiday Inn & Suites on Graves Rd in Tallahassee, Florida. From there, I searched more and read even more reviews, just to be sure that I would be OK on the trip. After all, a woman with her eight-year-old son had to be careful.
We arrived at the hotel at about 10 PM. The front parking lot was full, so I stopped in the front driveway so we could check in. Check in was nice and quick. They were very nice at the front desk and asked if there was anything I needed for my stay. Once I got my key, I went back outside to find a place to park. I had to drive around to the back to park, but thankfully found a spot right under a light. Yes, I was a little nervous parking and bringing in luggage from way back there and quite a few rows back. However, all was fine. We went right up to our room to get a good night's sleep.
The room was quite large, with a great bathroom. All of the little touches were there, which was nice. We really went straight to sleep as we had to get up and on the road to Disney the next morning. We both slept like logs that night. The bed was amazingly comfortable and cozy. A great night's rest was had by both of us. We got up bright and early. The bathroom for showering and getting dressed was great. Everything was really nice and clean.
Checkout was a non-event since we were paid ahead of time. I did go by the front desk, just to make sure I didn't need to do anything, but all was in order. I noticed a nice little cafe where they were serving breakfast. However, we just wanted to get on the road, so we did not try that. A great stay for just a night.
So, all-in-all a wonderful place to stay at for the one night that I would stay at again. Even for a few more nights, I would be happy there. It was very clean and had friendly staff.
