WowWee's Paper Jamz Guitar is the Next Big Toy

Cheap Paper Guitar Could Acutally Teach Children How to Play a Real Guitar

Mottor
Guitar Hero has changed the way that young adults look at the guitar. Most of us never bothered to pick up a guitar because we knew how hard it would be to play. For those who had the nerves to at least try, but still found the same results, found comfort in the easy to play ability that Guitar Hero offered. Many companies have tried to copy the success that Guitar Hero has had with their own games and similar concepts. WowWee has decided to take the easy to play concept to another level. The following is my review of Paper Jamz, the world's first "paper" guitar system that actually works.

WowWee's Paper Jamz guitar is made out of recycled paper materials. The "paper" guitar has specially infused built in sensors that are sensitive to your touch. Basically, these sensors are what allow you to play music on the guitar. Now, what you might be asking yourself is how do you actually play a song on the guitar. This is where things become very interesting. I decided to test drive the Paper Jamz guitar and see how it really works.

Each Paper Jamz guitar comes equipped with three different rock songs. I quickly learned that there are three different modes that you can use. The first mode is considered a "safe" mode for those who want to play the paper guitar without messing up. The second part is called the rhythm mode that allows you to strum the paper "strings" during music intervals, and finally a mode that allows you to freestyle and play whatever your heart desires.

I found the operation of the Paper Jamz guitar to be rather smooth. The sensors easily capture your touch and allow you feel like you are playing an actual guitar. However, the part that I found the coolest about the guitar had nothing to do with the playability. I enjoyed the fact that you are able to constantly change the design of your guitar through the purchase of different stickers and designs. One day you can have a flaming red guitar and another day you can have that hot pink guitar that you have always wanted.

WowWee's Paper Jamz guitar is incredibly cheap. You can purchase each of the guitars currently available for $25. The only negative is that you have to purchase a amp that connects exclusively to these paper guitars. However, the positive is that the amp will only cost you about $15.

My final review of this product is that it could be the next big thing. Everyone has been trying to copy Guitar Hero but have failed in the process. Paper Jamz will be a cheap alternative that could actually teach children how to properly play the guitar. The product will be a great tool to give that child who says he wants to play the guitar. You can see how committed he is before making an actual investment into one in the future. Only negative is that the product will not be available until July. Until then, I will keep rocking my exclusive Paper Jamz guitar with pure joy.

I agree with Rachel. This is the stupidest idea ever!!!!! And by the way, Kat, just because you do not have the time, patience, or the balls to actually sit down and learn to play the guitar, doesn't mean that this TOY is a wonderful idea!!! I'm a self-taught musician myself, and am disgusted by your view on guitar. If you weren't willing to put in the time or the effort to learn how to play the guitar in the first place, then why would this TOY change anything now???!!!!

I bought this paper jamz guitar a few days ago and it's much fun! I bought a real guitar last year and tried to teach myself how to play, but gave up after a while because it was too hard and would take too long to get to the level of shredding I want to do. I realize that as many hours I'm using to make up songs on this toy, I could be getting lessons and learning the guitar for real! This wonderful toy has renewed my interest in guitar again!

Are you retarded?! WHO in the WORLD would want a paper guitar?! Are you kidding me? There is not point!!

Crap, I should have thought of this. The next product I'll make might be called "guiTARD".
