Wrap It Up says spike it.
- It looks like we spiked the football anyway and personally, I liked it. However, those who are and were careful not to offend might want to try for consistency in their arguments. I want the death photo shown. I also do not care what we release to show what kind a barbarian we killed. This is a war, after all. Not showing the death photo but parading out all the other videos seems a bit odd.
- Tina Fey doing her Sarah Palin routine is no longer a headline grabber, but it shows up anyway. What happened to her saying it most likely hurt her ratings and such? Come on, "30 Rock" never had great ratings. And if mean-spirited is funny then she's dead on. To be honest, the routine is tiresome now. How about retiring it?
- Ratings for "The Office" were never outstanding, either.
- Our update weeks ago of Paula Abdul going to rejoin Simon Cowell was spot on. Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones are to be cohosts of "The X Factor." By the way, many took part in the Chicagoland auditions.
- Meanwhile, Oprah continues to make headlines as she heads into the daytime sunset as OWN gets rid of its CEO. They didn't like where it was right now. They includes Discovery, too.
WEEKEND BO
1. "Thor" - $66 million
2. "Fast Five" - $32.5 million
3. "Jumping the Broom" - $13.7 million
Source: Box Office Mojo
Notes: "Thor" thumped the rest of the field, as expected, while "Fast Five" dropped 62 percent in its second weekend. That was after the highest-grossing weekend so far this year when it took in roughly $86 million. I always look at one item that jumps out at me and this time it's stability of "Soul Surfer." With a budget of only $18 million, it is now approaching $40 million. That is a success. Now, you may be wondering how the Jody Foster/Mel Gibson vehicle, "The Beaver" went. Since it's only in 22 theaters, let's just say, let's wait on this one. It seems as if "Atlas Shrugged" is now a bomb at the box office. This film was split down political lines, to say the least. As for "Prom" season, it may be but that is not translating into box office. April saw the box office looking up and May started pretty well. Now, as far as Hollywood is concerned, it's summer.
- TV Guide has confirmed that Bill O'Reilly will start shooting his part of TNT's "Rizzolli and Isles" in July.

10 - The Script
17 - Kenny Chesney (Check out my review of his recent concert. Type in any search engine: Kenny Chesney Hasn't Lost a Beat.)
24 - Bruno Mars
JULY

8 - Blake Shelton
15 - Chris Brown
22 - Cee Lo Green
29 - Journey
- Would you ever "Cry Macho"? Well, Arnold will in his comeback role.
- Speaking of Macho, the bit during the Kentucky Derby preshow and Mucho Macho Man was real stupid.
- Opportunities for up actors is drying up fast with the cancellations of many soaps. Too bad, as these can be a great launching pad and training ground. I would much rather have them as the training ground than game shows and reality shows. Now comes word that CBS is pulling the plug on the Hallmark Hall of Fame.
