- Nikki Finke and her Deadline Hollywood has reported that Paula Abdul will join Simon Cowell on "The X Factor."
- In case you are wondering, "The Ten Commandments" led the night on Saturday TV.
- When one cannot lead, a committee is formed and czars are appointed. Oh, these gas prices have nothing to do with policy, right? Wake up media.
-Sure, we may all go electric soon, as in cars, but the state of Washington want to issue a $100 annual fee to do so.
-Just wait. So many of us take to biking that an annual fee will be issued for that. Plus, a mandatory helmet law will take place. Knee pads and elbow pads will be required. Please, no long pants that could get caught in the spokes. A light is a must and two hands on the bar at all times will be noted. And, of course, no talking on the cell phone - - ever. It will become so expensive to ride a bike, that it will no longer be an option for many.
WEEKEND BO
1. "Rio"
2. "Madea's Big Happy Family"
3. "Water for Elephants"
Source: Box Office Mojo
Notes: I did not expect "Water for Elephants" to win the weekend but it showed promise over the holiday, as far as I'm concerned. "Rio" wins again and I'm trying to figure out why? Sure, it's animated and we can take the family - - OK, I get it now.
- Need further proof that CBS is fed up with Charlie Sheen? They are no longer running reruns on their Monday comedy block.
- NBC has officially axed "The Paul Reiser Show."
- Meanwhile, the upfronts are coming soon. This is where we learn what the networks have in store for us coming down the line.
