Wrestle Mania XXVII Results

My Prediction: Alberto Del Rio

Winner: Edge

Going into this match the odds were in Del Rio's favor. Del Rio had outlasted 40 other superstars in the Royal Rumble . As history would have it, the winner of the Royal Rumble became Champion at Wrestle Mania 70% of the time. Besides having the odds in his favor, Del Rio had 'DESTINY' on his side. It was suppose to be Del Rio's 'DESTINY' to win the Royal Rumble and become World Heavyweight Champion at Wrestle Mania. If Del Rio would have fought a fair fight 'DESTINY' may have awarded him the World Heavyweight Championship. However, Del Rio was helped by Brodus Clay during the match. This allowed Del Rio to lock in the 'Cross Arm Breaker'. The 'Cross Arm Breaker' was not enough to finish Edge off as he escaped and locked in a submission off his own. Del Rio was able to escape from the submission, but was unable to avoid Edge's 'Spear'. 'DESTINY' could not help Del Rio kick out of the 'Spear'. Allowing Edge to leave Wrestle Mania with his World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: The Miz (Champion) vs. John Cena

My Prediction: John Cena

Winner: The Miz

The Miz was able to claim victory with some help from The Rock. The Miz and Cena battled to a double count out. The Rock was not pleased by the result, he called for the match to be restarted. To ensure a winner, The Rock informed the WWE Universe that there would be no count outs and no disqualifications. Moments after making this announcement, The Rock delivered a 'Rock Bottom' to Cena. This allowed The Miz to pick up the victory and remain WWE Champion.

NO HOLDS BARRED MATCH: The Undertaker vs. Triple H

My Prediction: The Undertaker continues his streak to 19-0.

Winner: The Undertaker

The Undertaker was able to claim victory by locking in 'Hell's Gate' and forcing Triple H to tap out. HHH gave everything he had delivering three 'Pedigrees' during the match. Three 'Pedigrees' were not enough to end The Undertaker's streak. HHH even tried to defeat The Undertaker with 'The Tombstone'; However, it was not enough to keep The Undertaker down. HHH tried to put The Undertaker down for good when he picked up a sledgehammer. Instead of using the sledgehammer, HHH found himself in locked in 'Hell's Gate'. With nowhere to go HHH was forced to tap out. Allowing The Undertaker to claim victory and continue his streak at Wrestle Mania to 19-0.

MATCH: Randy Orton vs. CM Punk

My Prediction: Randy Orton

Winner: Randy Orton

Orton was able to claim victory by using the 'RKO'. Punk was without The New Nexus , but still tried to give himself an advantage during the match. On the Raw before Wrestle Mania, Punk hit Orton in the knee with a wrench. During the match Punk used the injured knee to his advantage. Punk continued to attack the knee of Orton, but it was not enough to keep Orton down. Orton was able to find an opening and deliver the 'RKO' to Punk. This allowed Orton to pick up the victory, but he was not finished with Punk. Just like Orton had done to The New Nexus members, he attempted to punt Punk in the head. Fortunately for Punk, Orton's knee gave out. This allowed Punk to escape without suffering any serious injury.

MATCH: Jerry 'The King' Lawler vs. Michael Cole

Stipulation: Michael Cole is allowed to pick someone to train him (Jack Swagger) and select a special guest referee (Stone Cold Steve Austin) for the match.

My Prediction: Jerry 'The King' Lawler

Winner: Michael Cole

Cole was able to claim victory with some help from the Anonymous Raw General Manager. Lawler was declared the winner of the match when Cole tapped out to the 'Ankle Lock'. However, the Anonymous Raw General Manager saw something he did not like. During the match Austin pushed Cole, this caused the Anonymous Raw General Manager to reverse the decision and declare Michael Cole the winner of the match. The WWE Universe was shocked by the decision. Especially, after seeing Jack Swagger interfere earlier in the match and putting Lawler in an 'Ankle Lock'.

UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus (Champion)

My Prediction: Sheamus

Winner: No Contest

This match ended in a no contest when the Lumberjacks charged the ring. With the ring full of WWE superstars SmackDown's General Manager, Teddy Long made an appearance. Long informed the WWE superstars that the match would now be a non-title, Over The Top Rope Wrestle Mania Battle Royal.

My Prediction: None, I did not know this match was taking place.

Winner: The Great Khali

MATCH: Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes

My Prediction: Cody Rhodes

Winner: Cody Rhodes

Rhodes was able to claim victory by using Mysterio's own knee brace against him. During the match Mysterio removed Rhodes' protective face mask and used it as a weapon. If Mysterio had not used Rhodes' own face mask against him, would Rhodes have thought of using Mysterio's knee brace against him?

MIXED SIX MAN TAG MATCH: John Morrison, Trish Stratus, and Snooki vs. Dolph Ziggler and Lay-Cool (Layla and Michelle McCool)

My Prediction: John Morrison, Trish Stratus, & Snooki

Winners: John Morrison, Trish Stratus, & Snooki

Snooki was able to pick up the victory for her team by pinning Michelle McCool. Snooki shocked the WWE Universe by hitting a side-flip and back-flip combination on McCool. This allowed Snooki to get the three count and pick up the victory for her team.

EIGHT MAN TAG TEAM MATCH: The Corre (Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson, Heath Slater, & Justin Gabriel) vs. Big Show, Kane, Vladimir Kozlov, & Santino Marella

My Prediction: Big Show, Kane, Vladimir Kozlov, & Santino Marella

Winners: Big Show, Kane, Santino Marella, Kofi Kingston

The Corre tried to give themselves the advantage in this match before it even started. One day before Wrestle Mania The Corre attacked Kozlov. As a result of the attack Kozlov was unable to compete in this match. However, to guarantee a fair fight SmackDown's General Manger Theodore Long found a replacement for Kozlov. Long replaced Kozlov with Kofi Kingston. Now that the match was a fair fight The Corre did not stand a chance. The Corre is only destructive when they have the numbers advantage. Without that advantage it allowed Big Show, Kane, Santino Marella, and Kofi Kingston to pick up the victory.

Fun Fact: This is the first Wrestle Mania where a Championship did not change hands.
