While Miz continued to argue about how The Rock seems to be paying him little attention compared to Cena, Cena came out and started suggesting that Riley was making him look bad. He challenged him to fire Riley if he beat Riley. Miz agreed, on the condition that Cena would have to call him Awesome if Riley won. Raw's unknown General Manager then declared the match would be in a steel cage, with escape being the only way to win.
Miz even got the match to start early, taking out Daniel Bryan before his scheduled match could begin and then ordering the cage to be lowered.
Cena quickly wore down Riley with a suplex, knee to the gut and side slam and looked to escape via the cage door, but Miz the slammed the door on him. Miz then even started taunting Cena by taking a camera phone picture while Riley mashed Cena's face against the mesh, then he slipped Riley the phone so he could hit Cena in the head with it. Cena grabbed Riley by the leg to keep him from escaping, even as Miz tried to pull him out, and then applied the STF to weaken him further; he tried to climb out the cage, but Miz was waiting below with a chair. After the two fought on the top ropes and the top of the cage, Cena delivered a face-first bulldog from the top corner and hit the Attitude Adjuster, then took a picture with Miz's phone. Cena finally forced back Miz to force the cage door open and escape, but Miz immediately responded by hitting him with the Skull Crushing Finale.
After returning last week from a 10 month absence, Triple H not only explained why he challenged The Undertaker; he also got revenge on the one who put him on the shelf.
The 13-time champion said that both he and the Deadman have done it all in WWE, and Undertaker's unbeaten record at WrestleMania is the only thing that remains for both of them - keeping it alive for Undertaker and ending it for Triple H.
"Deadman, at WrestleMania you have only one thing left: The Streak. And when it dies, you die. And at WrestleMania , I have only one thing left, and it's The Streak, and if I can't end it, I'll die trying."
It was then that Sheamus came out and appeared to taunt Triple H, who he injured many months ago. The Game didn't waste any time, kicking him, throwing him out of the ring, slamming him against several objects and hitting the Pedigree on the announcers table.
As Sheamus was being carried off by officials, the Raw General Manager sent an email stating that he still had a match - against another man he'd put on the shelf, Evan Bourne. It only took several kicks in the corner, one more to the head and then the Air Bourne flip off the top corner to beat Sheamus and exact his own revenge.
Michael Cole, who didn't start the night on commentary, then came out and answered Jerry Lawler's challenge to face him at WrestleMania. Cole said he would only agree to it if he could choose a special guest referee and could have his personal trainer in his corner.
"I don't care if you got the Dark Knight, King Kong, Saba Simba and Superman with you," Lawler responded. The answer is yes, you're on."
Cole the revealed that his trainer was Jack Swagger, ad he then began taunting The King from behind Swagger. When Jerry finally tried to go after Cole, Swagger fought him back and eventually put him in the ankle lock. This allowed Cole to replace Lawler at the announce table with Josh Matthews.
The General Manager also made it official that Randy Orton will face CM Punk at WrestleMania. Meanwhile, Orton can make sure Punk is the only one he has to deal with.
Orton took on Mike McGillicutty in the first of three matches he will have over the next few weeks, where he can ban the Nexus members from WrestleMania by beating them.
Orton took control quickly as he attacked with several shots and clotheslines, including one that took McGillicutty out of the ring. McGillicutty did manage to fight back, including a flip off the second corner to snap Orton's head against the mat, but ultimately, Orton finished him off with the scoop slam, neckbreaker, DDT off the ropes and the RKO.
After pinning McGillicutty, Orton went ahead and punted him in the head despite Punk's pleas not to do so. The Nexus then chased Punk out of the building.
The Bellas continue to use their "Twin Magic" tricks to win, and it is getting on Eve Torres' nerves. Especially since they now used it to win a battle royal and get a shot at Eve's Divas Championship.
The battle royal came down to Gail Kim, Maryse and Nikki Bella, and it looked like Kim had it won as she threw out the other two Divas. But Brie Bella, who had been the first one eliminated, snuck back in as the officials were trying to escort Maryse away and threw out Kim to win the match.
Eve, who had been at the (rebuilt) announce table, then rushed in to argue with the official, but both Bellas then attacked and left her fallen in the ring.
While Cena may have gotten rid of Alex Riley, he may still have The Rock to deal with as well as Miz. The WrestleMania host had his own response to Cena's rapping comments last week, arguing that he went out to make movies to help open doors for people like Cena and that he never lost his love for WWE. It also seems like Cena and Rock may end up confronting each other personally sooner than WrestleMania. "The Rock is hosting WrestleMania, but more importantly, John Cena, he'll be addressing you sooner than you think."
