When writing an article you must choose something that will be appealing to your target market. It needs to be helpful, informative and have a clear structure. This makes the article easy for people to read.
You must make sure that when you write an article, you are not writing about yourself or your business. You are writing about a problem you have solved, a topic they may find interesting, or something else that they may find useful.
The way you advertise through an article is to develop a well written piece of work that people want to read. Then at the bottom of the article you can include a by line. This contains approximately 6 lines about your business and your website information. This is how you attract people to your website. If people think they could benefit from your services, then they will take a look around.
The basic structure for an article consists of;
• Point out a problem that people may have or that you have had
• Make a point of what could happen if the problem is not solved or improved
• Outline a possible solution
• You may format your solution in steps if you need to
• Summarise your article, make it positive and enthusiastic
• Include your by line at the end
Other tips for writing articles include;
• Keep your articles fairly short, between 400 and 750 words, if they are too long people may not feel they have the time to sit and read through them
• Keep your paragraphs short and informative, so that people are clear what you are talking about
• Finally, make sure that you run a spelling and grammar check. It is important that you proof read also, so that you are certain there are no incorrect words within your articles as this does not look very professional.
You should then submit your articles into relevant categories on websites that provide free submission and free Ezines, many places are constantly looking for content for their newsletters and Ezines, if you have your article published within a popular news letter then you are advertising yourself to hundreds maybe thousands of new potential clients.
