Write Faster, Write Smarter, Write More

Article writers and other freelance writers have to be able to produce a lot of content in a short period of time. Not only does this keep them ahead of any deadlines they might have, it also will increase their income from pay-per-piece websites and other conglomerates. Having the capability of writing faster, writing smarter, and writing more will help you make more money.

How to Write Faster?

There are several things that you can do to be able to write faster. The first one might be obvious: take a typing course. The faster you can touch type, the faster you can get your thoughts down onto the screen, and the faster you can complete your article or story.

In order to write faster, you should also brush up on spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills. If you make less mistakes, or are able to take less time looking up words or rules, you will be able to write faster.

There are some non-technical ways of speeding up your writing as well. Give yourself a deadline to complete your current work. Deadlines often encourage people to work faster.

How to Write Smarter?

Learning proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation will assist you in writing smarter. However, you should also come up with brainstorming and organizational skills to help you complete your articles more quickly. Teach yourself how to research your topic more effectively by using on and off-line resources.

In order to write smarter and more quickly, take some time to learn about article formatting, outlining, and note-taking skills. If you come up with a formula for a successful article, you will be able to churn them out more quickly.

How to Write More?

By following the above recommendations for writing faster and writing smarter, you should be able to write more as well. After all, if each article takes less time, you will be able to write more of them in a particular time slot.

However, another method for writing more is by giving yourself concrete goals. When there is no goal or checklist egging you on to complete a certain number of written articles, the mind and body find other things to occupy themselves with. Wandering around the house is a popular non-writing pastime, as is snacking or watching television. If you commit to a certain number or articles per day or week, there is a much greater chance that you will accomplish the goal. You will be writing more by simply making the decision to do so.
