Instead of Leaving Idiotic Comments on All of Mine!

Johanna Swith
Recently, I spent some time reading comments on my Associated Content articles, and I was utterly shocked by how many of the comments were flat-out rude, uncalled-for or unrelated to my articles. It amazed me that so many people are content to waste their time leaving rude comments that they should assume will be deleted.

I don't mind that these people visited my articles because that is just money in my pocket from page views. I also don't mind comments, but I do mind when people assume they know who I am, and make references to me that are intended to be personal, although I am not the lady many people believe I am. Unfortunately with times being tough for pretty much everyone, I depend on the extra money I earn at associated content, and product and business reviews are always a good way to put a few dollars back in my pocket and make ends meet. I am honest in my reviews, and unfortunately I do not always have great experiences. I feel it is my duty to share my experiences with other consumers, be they good or bad experiences. I have had so many people attempt to make personal attacks against me because I might not have had a great experience with a store they frequent, or a product they love. What I don't understand is why people will create an account just to comment on a review or article, then leave a pointless, rude and ignorant comment.

We live in a country where we are granted the right of freedom of speech. If you have had an experience that differs from mine, instead of leaving a pointless comment why not write about your own experience and tell the world what your opinions are? It is not only a way to let your voice be heard, but also to put a few dollars back in your pocket.

I think that people who are opinionated should share those opinions, make a difference in the life of another person, and let your voice be heard! That is a lot more productive than making personal attacks against someone you do not know, and trust me you do not know me! My name is not Sara, Julie or Alyssa, just for those of you who hate my writing and think that you know me, I am sorry not every review I write is a glowing one, but at least I am honest.

I agree with this article 100%. I am a new writer, but I am already learning that some people get enjoyment out of belittling or commenting on stuff they know nothing about. Great post, keep up the good work. Being honest in reviews is better then lying, this should make companies strive for better reviews.
