Writer's Block-what, Where? Gone!: Writing Essentials Three
5 Tips to Come Up with Ideas for Articles on Days when You Have the Writer's Block
It happens to the best of us and most of us can't escape it. It strikes at some point or the other in our writer's journey. So here are a few things you can do to get over writer's block. Not just that, get over the writer's block and come up with good ideas! ha.
1. Let your daily life inspire you: So what did you do off late? Did you see a movie? Did you work around the garage, garden or home? Did you do something crafty or fix something? That right there is an idea for an article! Let your daily life inspire you and get over the writer's block
2. Look around the internet for inspiration: If nothing fascinating has been happening in your life, then look at what has been happening in other people's lives! No I don't mean poke your nose.LOL. I am talking about articles others have written. See old articles of people here on Triond and other sites and get inspired. You just need that spark and your writer's block will vanish.
3. Funny or interesting news in your locality?: Go through the local newspapers and see if you spot something bizarre or funny. It will certainly get you more traffic. Plus, your writer's block, will be gone!
4. Make a list of articles on a regular basis:There are days when we get 10-15 ideas, and then days when we struggle to get even 1 or 2. So it is always a good idea to note down your ideas. Be it on the computer, a notepad or your cellphone! Just make a note so that when you are struck with writer's block, you can get back to the list and chose a topic.
5. Get some fresh air: Go out and get some fresh air. More oxygen to your brain and more blood-flow, equals clearer thought-process. Let the life outside inspire you. Most of us do this knowingly or unknowingly, everyday. But when we are hit with the writer's block, frustration may take control. We then forget that going out and taking in the views can really help get more ideas. See the streets, the people, children, nature- all have something new to offer.

Good ideas, I love the fresh air one. Thanks :)
Good article. It seems ideas come when I'm not looking for them, but it's important to write them down as soon as they come around. I recommend a Moleskine for that task.
All of these are terrific tips!
Lol, thanks for the tips!
Thanks for the ideas
Making a list is a great idea and I did that...but then I lost it-not so good. Now I have a word file on my desktop that I occasionally add ideas to and save
I'm constantly dealing with writer's block but, sooner or later I just write something; anything that will get the ideas flowing through my head.
I need to make more use of #1 and #3 for sure! Wonderful suggestions!!
This is a great article. I wrote one similar on Perfection Syndrome which is commonly confused with writers block. :)
