When you get there, you will find that there are several sections to post in, including one for zombies, another for vampires, and one where you can share your own true haunting stories. You can upload short stories you have written for discussion, you can share your horror poetry, or you can participate in the daily writing prompts or the start a story / end a story sections.
I am the creator and administrator of the board, so I'm always lurking around, and I'm always open to suggestions. I have also added a place for members to post suggestions about improving the forum. I want the Writers of Horror Forum to be a place where both authors and readers of the macabre can unite and enjoy their common bond: being scared halfway to death!
My fascination with scary things began at a young age, and I find authors such as Stephen King, H.P. Lovecraft, Clive Barker and myriad others extremely enjoyable. I am a huge fan of the pulp horror publication Weird Tales, and also of Twilight Zone: The Magazine. I also love horror movies, and so I have added a spot on the board to discuss and evaluate them. I believe horror movies are just as valuable as horror fiction or non-fiction, because of their ability to reach audiences very quickly, and through a widely accepted medium.
You do not have to read or write horror to participate in discussions, of course. All fans of horror are welcome! However, if you do read and write horror tales, I really hope that you find the Writers of Horror Forum useful and enjoyable. Feel free to discuss anything horror, from zombies to vampires, and everything in between.
So, if you are looking for a place to visit now and again to throw ideas around or get feedback, try my Writers of Horror Forum. Just type http://writersofhorror.myfreeforum.org/ into your browser window, or click that link. The site is completely FREE, and you will not be asked for any billing or personal information whatsoever. If I get enough interested readers and writers, I may even hold contests with prizes in the near future! Drop by the forum. Check things out. Post an introduction. See what you think!
