Writers Supporting Writers

If someone is new and publishes the first few articles, expect them not too be as perfect as their one-hundredth article, yet at the least happy for them for publishing anything at all! Writers supporting writers, that is what it should come down too. Even if you may not agree with the content, think they could do better, whether it's their first or two-hundredth article, support people! Given that the piece they wrote is not degrading or offensive to you, then why would you speak in such a nasty tone, or text, to someone who is doing what they love, working to do what they love, doing the same as you? People may have come across articles related to family, relationships, kids, or whatever the case may be, and in the comment section you every so often see the one who just hates life and tries to stoop others to their level. The nasty inappropriate comments that are never supportive and well really just uncalled for. A writer with too much time on their hands and too little friends. One whom may have been picked on in high school and in revenge takes it out with the pathetic tactic of "cyber bullying". Putting others down for their harmless efforts, and most the time it is great articles that receive the "bashing".

Constructive criticism is more than welcomed with any beginning or advanced writer's pieces, given that they are always looking to improve. Telling someone how much their piece "sucked", how horrible of a writer they are, and even the cursing and name calling, is a far cry from constructive criticism. Giving them a thumbs up for their efforts, encouragement well placed, as well as tips and good advice on how to improve is what it is about. Unless you are ignorant beyond repair, we all know the difference, some of us just choose to remain at a lower maturity level than most it seems. It is just as pathetic to judge one by their looks, to see a picture of the author of a piece and not like that article based on how the author looks, now that is a person who is most commonly jealous, insecure and needs to get some fresh air. Mad at the world, lonely, jealous, insecure, negative, in need of a friend or two; these are some of the things we think of when we see someone being nasty and ugly towards someone's innocent article. Men and women both are the suspects and the victims in this. Usually women tend to bash the women, and men tend to bash the men, however at times it is entwined. Women are most likely the ones to go after someone's writing based on the picture of the author, not all the time, but it happens. When a older, unhappy, lost her looks, bitter, out to make someone else miserable type of woman sees a always happy, younger, prettier woman's writings... Well then that may be enough for her to make her want to try and find something wrong with her article or take it completely out of context just to try to bring her down a notch. Then you have the men who think their shit don't stink, this one isn't about physical appearance, it is more along the lines of who has the "stronger wittier" articles. You also have the people in-between who insult, and degrade good articles instead of actually leaving a polite comment or constructive criticism just because they have a lack of a social life and have always been the type of people to attempt in bringing others down. They all know who they are, we can only pray that their maturity and happiness will grow so us who take writing as well as supporting other seriously, don't have to see those uncalled for comments. "Writers supporting writers." This is what it all should be about.

I agree with you. There is no excuse for cyberbullying and putting a person down.
