Writing - Good for Life!

Renee Bagley
Long before I started making money from my writing I was in love with writing. It's such a release. My interest in writing began with poetry. Apparently I had a plethora of built up thoughts and no outlet to release them. Learning and knowledge feel like power to me. Knowing that everyday I can learn something new makes even the little things seem like a huge discovery in the road of life.

In this time I have learned a lot about myself. Looking back I realize I had a lot of pent up anger that needed to be released, so that I could be free from it. Two poetry books later (Tangled Web and Break the Chain), by a very small company, and I had said almost everything I needed to say from my teen years. It was time to move on. I completed a third poetry book titled Universal Heart, but I haven't submitted it for publication. After words, I received writer's block, and for a couple of years I put writing behind me. My first book was published at age 23. I didn't know what to do when I came back to my writing. The well was dry. All my love, anger, and losses were out on the table. So I lived life and created memories, until again I had something of value (in my eyes) to say.

That's when I began my Freelance Writing career. I couldn't believe how fast I soared writing new content, and I started my new career by submitting poetry to Associated Content. It warmed my heart to see people who began "following" my work and subscribing to my content. People who were unbiased and many who didn't even know me. I hit Clout 10 after about a year, before that I was accepted to be a Featured Contributor for Arts & Entertainment. I was thrilled! And to this day I love my job!

Writing is about passion, desire, and knowledge = it is everything that I love.
