Exactly, David! If mankind only remained in the knowledge given by God, there wouldn't have been a Fall after all. In Eccl. 7:29, it reads: "Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions." The Bible being the book of knowledge is never an irony, but the ultimate truth. It has all the answers to every difficult question we can think of. All we have to do is seek for answers and we'll find them for sure (Isa. 34:16, Mat. 7:7).
I am struck by the irony of having the Bible referred to as the 'book of knowledge' when it was mankind's acquisition of knowledge that brought about our Fall.
