Writing Insanity
To Write for A.C
All the thoughts that have rattled 'round my brain
have moved off
and seemed to leave me far behind.
I sit and stare at my keyboard bleakly,
Ideas flit in and out.
My computer screen sits empty and oh so neatly.
Am I a writer? Sometimes I have my doubts.
Sometimes it all seems so confusing,
the rules never seem to stay the same.
I get it all within my scope, then
they change the rules and it messes
up my brain.
Shall I write about the news or about some random thing?
How about just a poem or two?
The problem with writing a poem or two,
prose doesn't any money seem to bring.
I guess I'll start with just a stroke
to see where it all goes.
Will what I write bring the page views I need
or will a Content Manager reject my stuff
and my dreams of "Showcase" status revoke.
Okay I'm game I'll try and see
Where this poem soon might be
Will it live to see A.C.'s Front Page?
will it end up hit by delete?
Or will I give up my keyboard in defeat
and turn the other page?

Writing is insanity? Call me crazy!
I took the advice from the author of the article about 8 reasons to keep a journal. Ever since, I have written ideas when they hit. Haven't written but two journal entries! This is a great stream of consciousness poem. Did it break your writer's block?
