Writing Prompt: If Your Life was a Movie, Who Would Be on Your Soundtrack, and Why?

My friend, Tara Meacham , had the idea for us to start our own writing prompt blog, so other people with writer's block can visit our page, and find things to write about. We have not yet started our blog, but I thought I might test some waters here. This is my eighth writing prompt idea, and response.

Writing prompt: If your life was a movie, who would be on your soundtrack, and why?

Response:

I would definitely have John Mayer on my soundtrack. He could do my opening scene, especially, with the song "No Such Thing," a tribute to my life, being one who questions reality, and what normal is, following her own path. Dashboard Confessional would have their song, "Keep Watch for the Mines," as a common theme of backstabbery in my friends over the year. As for my love story with Ben, I would have to say that "Head Over Feet" by Alanis Morissette would have to make the list. Several of the Beatles' songs would have to make their appearance on my soundtrack, for various stages and events in my life. "Revolution" and "Imagine" would have to be songs going along with my activism. In the movie, there would have to be something about my short time at Liberty, featuring the song "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister, and "Go to Hell" by David Ford. As for my faith, I would have to choose something rockin', like "Made to Love" by Toby Mac. To tie it all together, I'd end with "Hand in My Pocket," by Alanis, because my life is ongoing, even though I haven't figured it all out, and I continue to live in a chilled out way.

This is the short list of who would be on my soundtrack. Of course, if I would go through every major life event, and choose a song for it, I would never stop writing. However, these are songs to accompany common themes and events in my lifetime. Who would be on your soundtrack, if your life was a movie?
