Writing prompt: Which movie or TV character, would you say, is akin to your personality?
Response:
I don't think I could pinpoint one specific character that is akin to my personality. I'd like to think it's a combination of a few. I think I have a little cynicism and sarcasm from Daria Morgandorffer and Jane Lane from the old MTV cartoon, Daria. To that, I would add that I have a little ecentricness like Phoebe from Friends. I also think I have some of the not necessarily book smarts, but know-how, like Kaylee from Firefly. I think I also have some boldness (without the slutiness) of Manny from Degrassi: The Next Generation. I have the writing ability of Rory from Gilmore Girls, and the comedic side of her mother, Lorelai. I have a bit of a temper like Luke from the same show. I am sometimes naive, and see the good in people, like Grace from Secret Life of the American Teenager. I believe that my peace-keeping side is much like Emma from the early days of Degrassi: The Next Generation. My tendency to gossip sometimes, is a little like Gretchen from Mean Girls. Finally, my spiritual side, with the tendency to backslide a little, is a lot like Darcy from Degrassi, as well.
These are just a few elements of the person that is Michelle Miller, and the television and movie characters, that represent them. Who, on the big or little screen, is much like you?
