There is a very good way to capitalize on your article-writing expertise and to maximize your earnings per article. That is to sell article packs on specific niches.
Niche article packs are very popular right now as more and more people are throwing up small websites just for money. They are looking for fast, cheap content and not necessarily original stuff. You can capitalize on this market by writing your own articles and selling them in packs. This is only an option if you don't mind giving away all rights to these articles, but you can write what you want and set your own prices.
First, you need to know what article topics are popular. You can do this by checking keyword phrases at Wordtracker or in Google's Keyword Tool. Find ones that people are really buzzing about and write articles for them. You can choose to write keyword-based articles with SEO optimization, if you know about this, or simply write content articles.
A niche article pack usually consists of anywhere from five to twenty-five articles based around a common theme, but using different keywords. For example, within a Children's Names article pack, you might write an article on how to choose a full name for your baby, how to register your child's name, or why you should choose a top 100 baby name.
You can write about pretty much anything you want and then sell it in these niche packages. There are a few sites already doing this, including PLR Article Packs, which you can check out for ideas. For your first few article packs, you may want to stick to fairly popular topics, but you can narrow your niches later on.
Pricing for article packs varies widely on the net. You should decide how much you want to earn per article, then divide it by the number of packs you will sell and multiply by the number of articles in the pack. For example, if you have ten niche articles per pack and you want to be paid $100 per article, sold to 100 people, that averages out to $1 per article sale. Multiply by ten and you have an article pack that costs $10. If you want $250 per article, the article pack would cost $25.
Niche article packs can be sold through your own website. There are plenty of free hosts out there to get you started. Set up a page with some sample articles and list your niche article packs. PayPal makes payment nice and easy, if you upgrade to their business program. This allows you to add custom purchasing buttons to your website.
Niche article packs are a good way to earn what you are worth if you are a freelance writer. You won't have to worry about working harder, just smarter.
