Writing for Some Dough!

The Plight of the Writer-

M.S.Medina
My fingers are numb
My ideas are shot
It's two in the morning
I've given all that I've got

I'm tired and aching
I can't type another word
This writing for dollars
is really quite absurd.

I've typed all my thoughts
and spelled all my verbs
I've gone back and corrected
my mistakes and my blurbs.

Give me some credit,
where credit is due.
and offer me some HeadLines
a front page or two.

I am a writer you see,
and I long to be read.
So Editors please,
print me and pay me some bread.

You do understand the writing experience and convey it well.

    lol. good one

    Im a writer as well
    with a story to tell
    Words just appear
    so no need to fear
    Make the right choices
    give in to the voices
    Keep typing away
till the end of the day
    Whether poetry or prose
    keep at it, who knows?
    Some day we will hear
    and Medina we'll cheer
    For the number one spot
    on Amazon you'll slot
    So, never say never
    keep typing, be clever
    And when that day comes
    remember your chums...

Funny, Charlotte Kuchinsky just did something similar. Must be something in the Earth's atmosphere interfering with writing ability. :)

Excellent poem! Very simple and easy to read, good flow and humorous. Nice rhyme scheme too.

Again an eloquent way of stating in words the great business known as writing.
