The income allows us to write on different topics. We can write on just about anything we want to in the modern world unless we live in Iraq. Even if we lived in Iraq, we could only do the events transpiring there justice by writing. If we live in the mountains we begin the day by exploring the world outside. Perhaps we write a poem or creative essay because of it. But the mountains are not just a muse, but also a means to get excited about life.
Excitement is what keeps many writers in this world hooked. The bad days are just that, bad. The good days have so many other words to be used to describe them. Name your bliss, set a time for writing it, and watch the excitement pour in. When we look at the mountains-or the city building, or the forest, etc.-we see things that sitting alone at our desk. Writing can be a passion, but we must also try to live in our surroundings. The surroundings will be our muse. That memoir will provide the fire wood, but we need the kindling first and that is what writing in this world is about.
We see the wonder apparent in the world. We feel sadness. We feel happiness. We do these things, as writers, like a process. We know the bad days will end, and, unfortunately, so will the good days. The days we do not write our bad. The days we do write is not enough. That is part of the passion of being a writer: we evolve along with our emotions. We see wonder in the world. Perhaps we see it as God's work. Or the work of something greater than us. Explaining the wonder of the world is the chief pursuit of any writer. We try to capture the mountains or the city, and know that it might not be possible.
Thinking leads many writers downhill. We find ourselves full of doubts; that is part of the process. We cycle through the emotions more if we write continuously. We adapt. We begin to recognize the emotions because we had them before. Recognition is key for developing ourselves as thinking writers.
Sometimes we think too much on the income, but things like excitement and wonder will always allow follow us up the mountain.
