Writing's Strange

A Writer's Musing

Bobby Fleeks
As a writer life becomes interesting in strange ways, and strange is just a story waiting to be told. Funny can be what hurts and sad can invoke a smile instead of tears. In the movie world we see what is serious, what is exciting, what is possible and the mundane, but it all leads to an inevitable end. A great film and writing success. b.f. 2002

Writing since age 10, I guess that's all I do. It seems my life revolves around my writing business, my writing my wife my son and grandson, and writing science fiction and creating stories envisioned as possible movies. I've played On Air Personality up and down Americas dial. Written for television (long ago). Produced public TV shows, and received the Poet of Merit Award from the International Society of Poets in Washington D.C.

Always an avid writer and seeking other writers to be involved with, I'm a frequenter of many screenwriting on-line forums. One of which got so intense some years ago after my first show of my first try at actual screenwriting (boy, that was one of those where you think you've got the greatest piece of shit out there and are literally told, that's exactly what it is), that it instigated a mentorship with a working writer who saw that although I hadn't quite "gotten it" yet, I did have something that he thought could be developed. Which also generated a brief stint of representation, from one of those agents, you don't want to meet.

It all just leads to writing more scripts, eighteen in all (in various stages of completed. Three actually to FADE OUT (notice I didn't day "done") (2 out, which hopefully that "agent" didn't mess up my "none name" too badly).

Now seeking an agent that really works, and continually dreaming of that one story that will take me to the top, get what ever point I was trying to make in it across, and ensure continued writing work in this field that has stolen my heart mind, and were it not for God who made it possible for me to get this far, my soul.

But all I really want to do is write well-written scripts that get made into enjoyable movies. And hopefully my peers will like them well enough to give me awards for the effort! Shoot. Don't we all wish that?
