WWE Championship Gets a New Look

Spy Radio
On the March 21st edition of Monday Night Raw, The Miz proved just how AWESOME he is. The Miz shocked the WWE Universe when he revealed his custom WWE Championship. The Miz took the current Championship and made one big change. The Miz wanted his new Championship to represent him which is why he took the WWE logo in the center of the belt and turned it upside down to make an "M" for Miz.

The Miz is not the first Champion to debut a custom Championship. John Cena modified the Championship by making the WWE logo in the center spin. When Edge became Champion he kept Cena's spinning centerpiece idea. Instead of using the WWE logo, Edge used his own "Rated-R Superstar" logo. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin even had his own custom Championship. Austin used his "Smoking Skull" logo on the Championship. The Rock even had a custom Championship featuring his "Brahma Bull", although it never appeared on television.

Although The Miz is not the first one to debut a custom Championship, he is one of the few superstars to get that opportunity. Now the question becomes "why debut a custom Championship less than two weeks before Wrestle Mania?" Could this be a sign that The Miz defeats John Cena at Wrestle Mania or is the WWE trying to get the WWE Universe to stop thinking that John Cena is going to win?
