WWE Changing Their Hiring Policy

Spy Radio
A rumor has been going around that WWE is not hiring talent over the age of 30. Although this has not been confirmed it seems like a pointless change to the hiring policy. I feel superstars are still in their prime at the age of 30. Even if it takes them two years to develop. WWE could probably squeeze a good eight more years out of them.

Below are a few examples of superstars that were hired in their 30s.

Alberto Del Rio signed with the WWE on June 17th, 2009. At the time Del Rio was 32 years old. He currently competes on the Smackdown roster.

Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) signed with the WWE in 2005. At the time Porter was 32 years old. Unfortunately, MVP is no longer with the company.

Martin Wright better known as The Boogeyman singed with the WWE in January of 2005. At the time Wright was 41 years old. Unfortunately, Wright is no longer with the company.

Based on the superstars above I have to assume this rumor is false. If someone comes to the WWE and has talent I have to believe they are going to hire them.

This rumor also poses a few questions.

If WWE does not want to hire talent over the age of 30, why do they continue to put Jerry "The King" Lawler in matches?

Why is The Miz WWE Champion at the age of 30?

Why even have superstars over the age of 30 on the roster?

I hope this rumor is false. Just because someone is over the age of 30 does not mean they are not talented.

Age 30 is where serious injuries start to multiply. Nice article.

They just don't want what happened to the Hulkster and Ric Flair to happen again. Guys were flying off the top rope at 80. Wtf is that?

    30 is prime time!!!

This is a baffling move by the WWE if true. Most guys only reach the prime of their career once they turn 30, and some reach it at an even later age.
