WWE Draft Fallout: Raw, Smackdown and ECW

Everyone is talking about the exploding limo that ended the storyline life of WWE chairman Mr. McMahon. The blast overshadowed the WWE draft earlier in the night, which will lead to some intriguing matches down the road. I will try to use my wrestling expertise to break down what it all means.

Overall, Raw got the best of the talent switches. WWE champ John Cena has four new potential challengers. Here is a rundown of the wrestlers who are switching sides:

COMING TO RAW (Monday nights at 9 Eastern on USA)

King Booker with Sharmell is currently out with an injury, but he will make his return soon. Booker won the World title and the King of the Ring crown last year on Smackdown. He will have some entertaining matches against Cena.

Bobby Lashley had to forfeit the ECW title when he was drafted to Raw. Still, his stock will rise as he goes from the No. 3 brand in the WWE to the flagship. Lashley's career got a boost from his involvement in the Vince McMahon-Donald Trump feud.

Randy Orton's battle royale victory gave Raw the final two picks in the draft. Raw completed its great night by picking up Gene Snitsky and Mr. Kennedy.

Snitsky was treated like a big deal on ECW, and it looked like he would face Lashley for the title. Now that both guys are on Raw, they can both target John Cena's belt.

Kennedy is the WWE's next breakout star. The Wisconsin native is so good at playing a cocky blowhard. Even though he lost his Money in the Bank briefcase to Edge and then hit the disabled list, Kennedy has a long, successful career ahead of him.

COMING TO SMACKDOWN (Friday nights at 8 Eastern on The CW)

The Great Khali cemented his main-event status by absolutely demolishing Cena in a non-title match on Saturday Night's Main Event. Of course, Cena came out on top whenever the title was on the line.

Khali may get another chance to win a major title if Batista knocks off Edge for the World belt at Vengeance. Khali would be a perfect opponent, since he is even bigger than Batista and would make the champ somewhat of an underdog.

Ric Flair also made it onto the Smackdown roster. He has been on Raw since the brand split five years ago. His legendary status and his past teaming with Batista should make him an important part of the roster. Flair is pushing 60, so don't expect him to win one last World title.

Chris Masters and Torrie Wilson were the other Smackdown additions. Masters will get another chance to prove he's not just a musclehead. We'll see if he actually improves in the ring. Torrie will join the Smackdown diva group of Michelle McCool, Kristal Marshall and Jillian Hall.

COMING TO ECW (Tuesday nights at 10 Eastern on The Sci-Fi Channel)

I'm amazed that ECW still exists at this point. I thought that Vince was going to fold the ECW brand in anger after losing the belt to Lashley. That way, everyone in ECW could be drafted to Raw or Smackdown. I guess that didn't happen.

Anyway, ECW is continuing without previous champions Vince, Lashley, Rob Van Dam and Sabu. Chris Benoit did get drafted to ECW, so he immediately becomes its top star. The Boogeyman also came to ECW, and he's a perfect fit for the Sci-Fi Channel.
