Jackson Triumph Esquire III
The Condemned is the third film part of the WWE Films division will be released on Friday, April 27th. Following Kane in See No Evil and John Cena in The Marine, the lead star is former WWE champion and headliner "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. One of the most popular professional wrestlers of all-time makes his film debut. He has previous acting experience on various television shows (including Nash Bridges). The Condemned is an action/thriller feature.

The Condemned is about Jack Conrad (Austin), a death row criminal finds his way in to the hands of a television producer. A new internet show is created with the basis being 10 people are unleashed on an island with the sole purpose of survival. Unlike the CBS show Survivor, nine people will die. The name of the game is killing the others and try to be the lone survivor.

The film also stars Vinnie Jones in the supporting role as well as Manu Bennett, Madeleine West, Tory Mussett and others. The trailers featured on television have featured the song "You Don't Know" by Eminem and 50 Cent.

According to IMDB.com, The Condemned was created with a small budget of about $20 million. With its theatrical release and future DVD (and perhaps Blu Ray, HD-DVD) releases, it should be a profitable project.

  • Steve Austin will make his motion picture film debut with The Condemned

I haven't been watching Raw or Smackdown lately. That does explain the Stone Cold return though. I saw the other two. Sounds interesting.

My husband is a big WWE fan, and we've seen the first two - I'm sure we'll be picking this one up too! Great article!
