WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View 2009 Predictions

May Contain Hell in a Cell Spoilers. Yes, I'm That Good at This.
Another PPV, another set of predictions and spoilers for Hell in a Cell, WWE's October 4, 2009 Pay-Per-View event. Is it time for some changes to the championship ranks? Is it time to see Brett Hart coming back to WWE? Will we see The Rock returning to WWE Sunday night? Probably not the last two, but I think we will see some shift in power after Sunday is done. Enough of this small talk, let's get to the analysis and predictions.
World Heavyweight Championship (Hell in a Cell Match): The Undertaker vs. CM Punk (c)
Straight edge meets straight out of Hell. The Undertaker was made for the Hell in a Cell Match and the HiaC match was made for the 'Taker. The question we have to ask ourselves is whether or not Undertaker is 100% and has he been back long enough to give him the title belt? We know that Undertaker was rushed back a little early from his injury time because of the need for superstars on WWE SmackDown. That's also why Batista moved over, but more on that later. I don't think Undertaker is at 100% yet. What's more, the writers have made such a big deal out of the Montreal Screwjob Part Deux that they are almost begging us to pick Taker as the winner. I say nay. Too soon, folks. This feud is generating heat and that all ends once the "good guy" wins. CM Punk finds a way to win and Undertaker plots revenge again.
CM Punk Wins Hell in a Cell Match Against The Undertaker and retains the World Heavyweight Title
WWE Championship (Hell in a Cell Match): Randy Orton vs. John Cena (c)
Randy Orton has to be one of the best heels in the business today. Smilin' John Cena is probably the most popular face in the WWE. After getting beat within an inch of his life on Raw by Chris Jericho and Big Show, Cena hulks up for Randy Orton as if nothing had happened to him. That's either a dumb writer or a dumb wrestler no-selling career threatening injuries. You choose. Now think about the setup. Cena is invincible going into the match. Orton has never been in a Hell in a Cell Match. Are they going to just offer Randy Orton up to John Cena as a sacrificial lamb and let Cena hold the belt until the next PPV? Not this time, kiddies. The viper will strike last and keep the feud alive. Go sell some more shirts, Cena.
Randy Orton Wins Hell in a Cell Match Against John Cena and Wins the WWE Championship Belt
Tag Team (Hell in a Cell Match): DX vs. Legacy
Degeneration X has done a great job of putting over Legacy. Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes look like badasses. DX look like old guys who get a few jabs in. This feud isn't over yet. There's way too much money in the DX reunion to end it now. I'm looking forward to a good match with plenty to talk about later. In the end, Legacy gets the upper hand. DX is on the marquee for the Survivor Series PPV. They'll get a victory there. I mean, they've got GRENADES!
The Legacy Wins Hell in a Cell Match Against DX and Shawn Michaels Gets Knocked Out (bonus prediction)
Intercontinental Championship: Dolph Ziggler vs. John Morrison (c)
What? This isn't a Hell in a Cell Match? This isn't even a ladder match. Loser leave town? Hair Match? Nah. Just a plain old rasslin match. Dolph Ziggler has been getting a good push. He actually has some in-ring skill. Not near as much skill as the Shaman of Sexy. He's smart too. Did you see him on the game show? This one is a long match but no Zig Zag for the win. Keep your eye on Dolph Ziggler. He is a legitimate contender.
John Morrison Wins Over Dolph Ziggler and Retains the Intercontinental Championship Belt
United States Championship: The Miz vs. Jack Swagger vs. Kofi Kingston (c)
A Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship. Gee. Looks like Jack Swagger has the major heat going into the match. He is a former ECW Champion. Then we consider The Miz. I gotta admit, I'm not a Kofi Kingston fan. He has great moves, but he's pretty poor on the mic. On the other hand, Miz and Swagger LOVE to talk. Some might even say they like to talk too much. I'm thinking this might be the night that The Miz gets a title. Maybe Survivor Series, Miz. You're almost there, bud.
Kofi Kingston Wins the Triple Threat Match and Retains the United States Championship
Undisputed Tag Team Championship: Batista and Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho & The Big Show (c)
Is there ever going to be a time when the tag belts will be separated? If not, let's just have a Tag Team Championship and get over all this four belt madness. Wouldn't it be funny if Jerishow lost the match and only gave up 2 of their 4 belts? Yes. That would be funny. But it's not going to happen at Hell in a Cell. Batista is fresh off of surgery and rehab. Mysterio is fresh of of suspension. The noobs don't get the title. Not until there are more heel tag teams. I'm glad for this because Chris Jericho is the best entertainer on the WWE roster right now. He's the total package of talk and talent. Jerishow wins again!
Chris Jericho and Big Show Win Over Batista and Rey Mysterio and Retain the Undisputed Tag Team Championship.
Divas Championship: Alicia Fox vs. Mickie James (c)
Was this match an afterthought? I'm glad to see Alicia Fox getting a push. She is developing into a decent wrestler. Let's be honest while we're at it, she's easy on the eyes as well. I'll enjoy watching the match because I think both divas work well in the ring. In the end though, there can be only one winner. Unfortunately for Alicia, Mikie James and her repaired implant get the win this time. When is Maryse coming back?
Mickie James Wins Over Alicia Fox and Retains the Divas Championship.
