Vincent Gioia
Hulk Hogan is back in another dvd set, that the WWE has just released. This time, its rare matches that were never shown on any dvd set out there. This just came out, in November of 2009. It has 3 discs, and is loaded with matches. There are also promos, and interviews as well.

Disc 1

Hulk Hogan vs Harry Valdez 11/13/79- This was an awesome show of Hulk's youth and power. I give it a 7/10

Bob Backlund vs Hulk Hogan 4/12/80- This was a great technical match between these legends. I give it a 9/10

Hulk Hogan vs Steven King and Angelo Gomez 9/10/80- A handicap match that ends quickly. I give it a 7/10

Andre the Giant vs Hulk Hogan 9/22/80- This is my favorite match between the two behemoths, with Gorilla Monsoon as guest referee. I give it a perfect rating

Hulk Hogan vs Nick Bockwinkel and Bobby Heenan 5/2/81- This was a very weak handicap match in the AWA. I give it a 6/10

Vignette TNT 3/28/85- Hulk Hogan and Mr T in a grocery store. This was very funny

Hulk Hogan Promo on Randy "Macho Man" Savage 2/25/89

Special Features

There's 8 promos and interviews from 1985 to 2005. My favorite, is the promo with Dennis Rodman and Hulk Hogan at Bash at the Beach, talking about Vader.

There a couple of flaws with this set. The biggest is having the Bret Hart match on here. This was more for Bret since it showed him joining the NWO. The smaller flaws is a lack of AWA, WCW, and Japan material. When Hogan went to Japan, he was very technical. This style was not big in the 1980's. Thats why Hogan couldn't do it in the WWF.

Overall this is an excellent dvd set. WWE really did a fantastic job of getting these matches together. They were crisp and clear. The match selection was almost perfect. The interviews and promos were funny but cool. This is a great buy for any Hulk Hogan or WWE fan. If you are unfamiliar with Hulk Hogan, or want his known and popular matches, get the Hulk Hogan Anthology or Hulk Still Rules dvd sets.
