This edition to the franchise has some new characteristics that have made the game to be a huge improvement over its predecessors. First of all, there is a whole host of new WWE legends to play as. There are also over 100 different match types. Some of these include: Bar Brawl, Buried Alive Casket Match, Backstage, Diva Brawls, and more.
Some other new features are that the locker room is now fully customizable and it is in 3D. There is also new wrestler attributes, hardcore and stamina. These help to build your wrestler's strengths. The season mode has also been improved. Now there is no repetition of the story and you can play through 2 full seasons. These include better cut scenes that are viewed as though you were watching it at the theater!
The best improvement of this game is the graphics. The character models are highly detailed and they now exhibit better facial expressions. This is because the game has a new high resolution texture and integrated motion-capture technology. This makes every move in the game look smoother and less choppy.
The controls are more flexible so that it is easier to execute your moves. This will help you to perfect your strategy and technique. The sound effects are as engaging as the previous editions. Lastly, there is an enhanced online mode available.
WWE: Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 is available on Playstation 2 and PSP. It has an ESRB rating of T for teen. This is because the game features blood, language, sexual themes, and violence.
