WWE Superstar Alex Riley's Future: What's in Store for Him Now that He's Not the Miz's Apprentice

On February 28th, Alex Riley was involved in his biggest match to date. Riley was put inside a steel cage against John Cena. Alex Riley had a lot to lose, because the stipulation of the match was that if Riley suffered a loss then he would not be allowed to be the Miz's apprentice anymore. This si definitely a big blow to the Miz because the chances are very high that Riley will not be in the corner of the Miz at Wrestlemania 27. However, now that Riley isn't the Miz's apprentice anymore, what does the WWE plan on doing with Alex Riley now?

I think that Alex Riley will move forward in his career at a rapid pace. I don't see Alex Riley riding solo anytime soon though, and what I mean by this is that Alex Riley will probably become another apprentice to another wrestler, or even align himself with the new Nexus or even the Corre. The WWE will probably keep Riley aligned with another wrestler or group for a little bit before sending him off completely solo.

Hopefully the WWE keeps Riley as a heel for quite sometime to come because he plays a heel perfectly. I also think that sometime this year, Riley will get his hands on the United States title or even the intercontinental title, before the WWE decides to give him a huge push into becoming a main eventer. I do think that Riley will become one of the top heels or faces in the company, but I don't see that happening for at least another two years or so.

What do you think about Alex Riley? Do you think he will become a top face or heel within the WWE, or do you think he won't be around in two years time?
