WWE Superstar Chris Jericho Will Compete on Season 12 of 'Dancing with the Stars'

Chris Jericho is a man of many different and unique talents. Jericho might be mainly known and has become famous as a WWE Superstar, being a world champion for the company on six different occasions and has a wrestling pedigree that stretches more than 20 years, but he is much more than just a one-trick pony. Aside from being one of the most skilled and charismatic pro wrestlers in wrestling history, Jericho is also the lead singer of his band called Fozzy, touring with the band around the world; an author of two New York Times bestselling books, titled A Lion's Tale (released in 2007) and Undisputed (released in February 2011); a television actor; and most recently television host of the ABC show, Downfall.

Jericho will now add dancing to his incredible list of achievements, as ABC has confirmed that Chris Jericho will be one of the 11 stars who will compete on Season 12 of Dancing with the Stars. Jericho's involvement with Dancing with the Stars, one of the most popular shows on TV today, should not come as a surprise, since he always wants try new things, and dancing is another challenge he feels that he can conquer. Jericho has stated that he has wanted to do the show in previous seasons but couldn't because of WWE obligations. Since Jericho is currently on a hiatus from the WWE, and hasn't been seen on WWE programming since September 2010, this season works out perfectly for him.

The other 10 stars who will compete with Jericho in search of the Mirror Ball trophy, include Chelsea Kane (Actress), Hines Ward (NFL Player), Kendra Wilkinson (Reality Star), Kirstie Alley (Actress), Mike Catherwood (Radio Talk Show Host), Petra Nemcova (Model), Ralph Macchio (Actor), Romeo (Rapper & Actor), Sugar Rey Leonard (Retired Boxer), and Wendy Williams (Media Personality).

Jericho has claimed to be "the best in the world at what he does," whether that be wrestling, singing, acting, or hosting. I am sure he will bring that same philosophy to dancing, and won't be lacking any motivation. While Jericho has no previous dancing experience, he should be considered one of the favorites to win the competition this year, given he excels at everything he tries. I have been a wrestling fan of Jericho's for many years, and look forward to him competing on Dancing with the Stars starting March 21.
