WWE WrestleMania XXVI Results BEFORE the WWE Pay Per View

Don't Wait for WrestleMania 26. Read the Match Results Now. You'll Thank Me Later

The Mick
WrestleMania 26 is upon us. I feel it is my duty to present to you the 2010 WrestleMania results before the WWE PPV occurs. WrestleMania 26 will feature some of the best matchups and storylines in WrestleMania history. This year's WWE pay per view extravaganza will feature WWE superstars like John Cena, Vince McMahon, Bret Hart, Triple H, Randy Orton, and more. I am excited to watch this 26th anniversary of WrestleMania. I have watched them all, either live or taped, and WrestleMania XXVI will be no different, even though I already know who will win.

Why? Because I'm The Mick, and I'm - AWESOME!

You want to know the WrestleMania results? Read on, my friend.

Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker

This is a no-disqualification, no countout match. If Shawn Michaels wins, he ends The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania (17-0). If The Undertaker wins, then Shawn Michaels retires. What do we know so far? We know that Undertaker is hurting and having difficulty keeping up with the rigors of the WWE main eventer travel demands. We also know that Shawn Michaels is desiring a less hectic work schedule. Furthermore, we know that the DX angle has been played out and will not resurface for a long long time, if at all.

So who gets to retire and who gets to take a long vacation?

It could go either way, depending on how the writers choose to go. They're both due for a long break, especially Undertaker. If Taker loses, he loses the streak. There is no retirement stipulation for Undertaker. If Shawn Michaels loses, he has to go, but there is nothing to say WHEN he has to retire?

I'm going to go out on a limb here. Shawn Michaels loses the match at Wrestlemania XXVI and starts a retirement tour. Undertaker eventually decides to end his career as well after a try at a less demanding travel schedule. His record remains intact at 18-0. Michaels will likely then do cameos in the future, so it's not like we'll never see the Showstopper again.

Winner: The Undertaker (18-0) beats Shawn Michaels.

Batista vs. John Cena to win the WWE Championship

I'll be honest with you people. I hate both these guys. I know Cena is the top face in the WWE, maybe in the galaxy, but I am not a fan. He does bring in the money though and the kids love him. Gotta keep him around. Batista is a good heel, but he has so little in-ring skill. He's as much fun to watch as Goldberg with his 2-3 move set. At least Cena tries to play to the crowd.

Batista has the edge as he has not really had to wrestle anybody. It has always been him doing shoots alone, behind people, off camera, etc. The question is, do you let the top face have the belt again after a little over a month? No way, man. What a waste of a feud. The Animal wins and retains the WWE Championship with his stupid powerbomb and clotheslines. Will he cheat so that Cena feels robbed? OF COURSE. That's what Monday nights are for - Cena shoots.

Winner: Batista retains the WWE Championship and defeats John Cena.

Chris Jericho vs. Edge to win the World Heavyweight Title

I like how they've had the flip flop of Edge and Jericho each week. This angle is intended to distract and confuse us so we can't guess the winner. But I am no mere mortal. I can see through the mist. There isn't a heck of a lot of heat on Chris Jericho right now, which stinks because he is my favorite wrestler. Edge, on the other hand, has great fan momentum since his return as a face. I liked Edge better as a heel. In fact, he was in my top 3, but now he's a fan favorite for SmackDown. Oh well. Look for this match to go long with both hitting their finishers at least once. In the end, they have to let a babyface get a belt so he can feud with Drew McIntyre. Jericho gets drafted to Raw later anyway. Wait, did I already let that one out of the bag? Hmmm. Edge wins the World Heavyweight Title from Chris Jericho and leans over him yelling "Spear!" with all thousands in attendance screaming right along with him.

Winner: Edge def. Chris Jericho and wins the World Heavyweight Title

Vince McMahon vs. Bret Hart in a No Holds Barred match

This is a tough one. Everyone expects to see Bret Hart beating the crap out of Vince McMahon in front of his family. Here's the thing though. Bret Hart has an appearance contract for I believe 6 months. Also, Vince has at his disposal a legion of heels he can pull out to work over the Excellence of Execution. Bret has nobody. In fact, it might even play out that the Hart Dynasty works over Bret. Yes, let's go with that. Vince gets the upper hand and the Hart Dynasty runs out to make the save. But they don't make the save. They help the Chairman beat Bret Hart down in front of everybody. This is a great setup for a good draw main event at next month's Extreme Rules pay per view. It will be a bloody mess.

Winner: Vince McMahon def. Bret Hart with a WrestleMania screwjob

Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Christian vs. Evan Bourne vs. MVP vs. Jack Swagger vs. Kane vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Drew McIntyre

The winner will get a title shot at any time within the next year: Christian vs. Evan Bourne vs. MVP vs. Jack Swagger vs. Kane vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Drew McIntyre. I don't really care who wins this, but I am willing to be that all these midcarders are there to put Drew McIntyre over. Sure, there are people there who would be getting a title shot, but when you think about it, who would it be? Nobody on that list has a real spotlight right now and nobody has a beef that has any major following. McIntyre, on the other hand, is a recurring storyline on SmackDown. His flawless record, after adjustments by Vince (less one loss at the hands of Undertaker), and his swagger put him in a position to go after the top face in SmackDown - Edge. Since Edge wins the belt tonight, McIntyre wins the money in the bank match and sets up a good feud, once Edge v. Jericho plays out with Jericho's rematch clause.

Winner: Drew McIntyre wins the Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk in a Street Fight

Wow. If Mysterio loses his match, he has to become CM Punk's disciple. I like where this storyline is going. It's almost like Punk has this weird Charlie Manson Jesus complex going. It's working huge and really getting the fans into it. He's using religiously charged words that have a lot of people upset. Listen, this is a SHOW. This isn't real life. CM Punk is not a cult leader outside of kayfabe. Are we clear now, kiddies? Okay, back to the match. Look at where this can go. CM Punk wins and Mysterio joins the Straightedge Society. The storyline practically writes itself. The unwilling disciple. What will he do? How will he set up a match to earn his freedom? Will he lose his mask? This could go anywhere. One more note. Punk (and writers), you have the chance to build a true stable in WWE. Don't blow it.

Winner: CM Punk def. Rey Mysterio in a Street Fight

Triple H vs. Sheamus
Even though Sheamus has held the title and beaten John Cena to become the dobya-dobya-ee champion, people have still looked at him as an ECW fluke. I don't. I think Sheamus has good in ring skills and the ability to become a great heel with a future. Triple H, however, needs a big win to step back out of the DX shadow and pursue a singles title. If he's not going to do that, he needs to become a booker or something else. I don't see that happening anytime soon. The Game has plenty of time for that later. For now, I see this match going to the wire as a slugfest between two "powermove" wrestlers. In the end, Hunter will get his win, but it will be a good match to watch. Sheamus will be put over and established as a legitimate competitor.

Winner: Triple H def. Sheamus with a Pedigree

The Big Show and The Miz vs. John Morrison and R-Truth to win the Unified Tag Team Titles
Blah blah blah, Big Show. Blah blah blah, Miz. The real push has been for Morrison and Truth. Personally, I like heel tag teams, but there just isn't a lot of chemistry for Show and Miz as a team. Morrison and R-Truth are good singles competitors and seem to work well together in the ring. I'll save my argument about consolidating the tag belts for later. Right now, let's look at storyline. I forsee interference from Daniel Bryan (I like this guy) that costs Show and Miz the match and the titles. That will further the NXT rivalry and let Show go back to singles competition after they lose their rematch at the Extreme Rules PPV in April. John Morrison and R-Truth can then feud with Hart Dynasty or Spirit Squad II or something else. WWE really needs to develop some tag teams.

Winner: John Morrison and R-Truth def. Big Show and Miz and win the Unified Tag Team Titles

Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase vs. Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat Match
So many question marks, right? Who is the face and who is the heel? Ted and Cody both did a good job on Monday playing to the crowd their "I'm better than you" rants. It seems pretty obvious to me that at the very least, this is the push for Randy Orton to be a full fledged babyface. It's hard to avoid with the crowd reacting to him like they do, very much like they did for Edge. The real question is what happens with Cody and Ted? Randy Orton will likely win this match as Legacy implodes. Cody and Ted will cost the other the win. Distracted by their own egos, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase fall prey to the RKO. The storylines can go anywhere from here, but I really don't see Cody and Ted getting away as singles superstars just yet. Apart from the Orton storyline they just don't have a lot of heat. Feuding with each other and getting their dads involved might be fun to watch though. Maybe even a tag team match of fathers and sons. Yes. I would pay to see that. So what do we have. Cody and Ted feud each other. Randy either takes another vacation or challenges Batista for the belt. That would be a fun match to watch too.

Winner: Randy Orton def. Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes

I welcome your comments and counter predictions. I rarely miss, folks, so here's your chance to defeat me. Give it your best shot. Just make sure you order the PPV and invite me to your place.

Wow. Did not see that one coming. Obviously, the WWE writers saw my conclusions and rewrote the entire PPV. Yup. That must be it. I'm so amazed at the direction this took. Some of these matches made no sense. Why Swagger? Are you serious? Cena gets the belt because he's Super Cena. My pick was based on keeping a story going instead of letting Hogan Part 2 have the belt again. Oh well. That is the worst I've ever done. Wow. Who knows what will happen at the draft.
