Umaga was a former WWE champ and his real name is Edward Fatu. He was just 36 years old.
The WWE official website has a statement concerning the death of Umaga. "WWE would like to express its deepest condolences to Mr. Fatu's family, friends and fans on his tragic passing. Mr. Fatu was under contract with WWE at various time periods and most recently performed under the name "Umaga." Mr. Fatu's contract was terminated on June 11, 2009."
According to a story in The Sun, Umaga was pronounced dead after his second heart attack at a Houston hospital. Umaga has his own alumni page set up on the WWE official site. You can find Umaga pictures, video and a bio here at http://www.wwe.com/superstars/wwealumni/umaga/.
The Wrestling World is no doubt in shock that Umaga is dead. It wasn't something Wrestling fans would have pictured for the 36 year old recent retiree from WWE.
