www.TourettesGuy.com : Why I Don't Feel Bad About Laughing My Butt Off

Before I am flamed for this one, let me start out by saying that I understand the severity of Tourettes Syndrome and the affects it has on peoples lives. For those who don't know what Tourettes Syndrome is, it's a neurological disorder that is inherited. Basically the individual may have one or many physical tics and at least one verbal tic. These individuals have no control over some of the things they do and say. An individual may be able to hold off some of their tics, but much like a sneeze you can only do this so long before you break. This brings me to www.TourettesGuy.com .

www.TourettesGuy.com is a website about a man suffering from Tourettes Syndrom as well as alcoholism and anger issues. I am not quite sure if Danny aka Tourettes Guy is able to work due to his numerous disabilities, as his anger and verbal outbursts seem to be very severe. On the website you will find many video submissions of Danny doing things that the average person may do with only one major difference, he has Tourettes Syndrome. Some episodes include, Danny going to the grocery store, Danny calling a toothpaste company to complain about the toothpaste he purchased and my favorite Danny waking up to a huge M & M sitting in his room. If you are easily offended by vulgar or abrasive language I would NOT recommend visiting this website. While I find the video submissions to be hilarious, others may take offense to the videos.

One reason why I don't feel bad about laughing at this man who has a disability is because he has learned to profit from it. He's taking something that obviously has affected his life in negative way and turned it into a profit by blogging some of his life on his website. He also has many pieces of merchandise available for purchase at http://www.cafepress.com/tourettesguy . I don't feel bad because in some small way I am contributing to him and his family financially.

Another reason why I don't feel bad is because other people who have Tourettes Syndrome love www.tourettesguy.com . There are several fans on the tourettesguy.com forum who will tell you themself why you shouldn't feel guilty about laughing at Danny, who has a disability. The website even has a "feeling guilty" page where you can learn about Tourettes Syndrome and even make contributions to several organizations looking to find a cure for the disease.

So don't feel guilty for laughing at Danny aka Tourettes Guy. I'm sure many of us would love to make money and make people laugh by simply going about living our lives.
