'X Factor' Final Twelve Revealed

And There Are Some Surprises!

Kyra Lennon
Well, the results are in! After many tears and tantrums, Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue have selected the final twelve acts through to the "X Factor" live shows! Did they make the right decisions? Maybe, maybe not. But the decisions have been made, so let's take a look at the "X Factor" final twelve!

Boys

Aiden Grimshaw - The eighteen year old, self confessed shy boy was given a place in the X Factor final twelve by Dannii Minogue, even though she said he performs as if he is walking on hot coals! After telling him to work on his nerves, he was given the good news alongside Paige Richardson who was turned down.

Nicolo Festa - The crazy Italian diva was told by Dannii Minogue that his pros and cons were both the same. That he is a diva, that he is fierce and that he works it! Nicolo thinks there is a gap in the music industry for him, and he has been given his chance to fill it!

Matt Cardle - Matt Cardle is currently the favourite to win the X Factor. After telling the judges in his first audition that he hasn't been able to stick at a job long term, they seemed dubious, but his voice speaks for itself. Could this be the perfect job he has always been searching for?

Groups

FYD - After Simon Cowell initially refused them at their first audition, he changed his mind after hearing them perform at his house. FYD were the first group put through to the "X Factor" live shows.

Belle Amie - One of the groups Simon Cowell put together from rejects from the girls category have sang their way to victory. Although they had less time to prepare than the other groups, their audition was fantastic and enough for the music mogul to want them in his category.

1 Direction - And the final place in the groups category goes to Simon Cowell's other manufactured band! The lads in this group are some of the most talented he let go from the boys category, and they are going to rock! "X Factor" viewers have been unsurprised by both of Cowell's manufactured groups going through to the next round, but their talent is undeniable!

Over 28s

John Adeleye - Louis Walsh told him that he needed more time to be ready for the live shows, but put him through anyway. John is a support worker, who says he loves his job, but now "X Factor" is the way forward!

Storm Lee - The person most desperate for fame has finally been given his big break! Storm spent most of his life in L.A trying to make it, but with no luck. Simon Cowell hated him but who cares what he thinks? Storm is well on his way to attempting to prove that a credible artist can come from the "X Factor" - and he wants to be that artist!

Mary Byrne - The fifty year old Irish woman goes from Tesco's to the talent contest's live shows after only recently finding her confidence. Mary Byrne has a big personality and even bigger voice, and while her chances of winning aren't so great, she is going to work hard to keep her place.

Girls

Rebecca Ferguson - Possibly the shyest contestant the "X Factor" has ever seen, Rebecca Ferguson was given a chance to work through her confidence issues on the live shows! In her first audition she explained how a young pregnancy made people doubt her, but now she has her time to shine!

Katie Waissel - A controversial decision judging by the thoughts posted on Twitter this evening. Katie crumbled in her audition at Cheryl's house and many people have felt that her getting through is a sign that the show is fixed. With all the publicity that has surrounded her from her first audition, seeing what she does in the live shows will be interesting.

Cher Lloyd - And another nightmare decision which will make the competition fans crazy. Cher also failed to perform at the judges houses and some may think Cheryl's decision was based on Cher's first audition and didn't take into consideration her nerves at every other stage of the competition. When she is on her game, Cher is fantastic but the pressure may just be too much for the sixteen year old to cope with.

With this amazing and occasionally bizarre mix of contestants, the "X Factor" live shows are going to be explosive!
