X Factor Judges Final Cut: Top 12 Finalists Revealed

'X Factor' went live on October 25, 2011 as seventeen acts vied for a spot in the judges final cut. Three acts from each category were chosen by their mentors thus revealing the top 12 finalists who will compete live each week on 'X Factor' for America's vote.

From tonight forward America will vote for their favorite 'X Factor' finalist. The judges roles have been transformed into mentor meaning they will no longer have a "vote" on who stays and who goes. The mentors will teach each act in their category the art of dressing, choosing the best songs and how to showcase their individual talent on stage. It is then up to you, the viewer to decide which act has that special "star quality" deserving of the $5 million recording contract.

The top three 'X Factor' finalists in the "girls" category will be mentored by Simon Cowell and they are Drew Ryniewicz now known simply as Drew, Rachel Crow and Melanie Amaro.

The top three 'X Factor' finalists in the "boys" category will be mentored by L.A. Reid and they are Brian Bradley, Chris Rene and Marcus Canty.

The top three 'X Factor' finalists in the "over 30's" category will be mentored by Nicole Scherzinger and they are Josh Krajcik, Leroy Bell and Stacey Francis.

The top three 'X Factor' finalists in the "groups" category will be mentored by Paula Abdul and they are 'Lakoda Rayne', 'Intensity' and 'The Stereo Hogzz'.

The first 'X Factor' performance show will air "live" November 02, 2011 at 8/7c on FOX. At this time you will be given all of the information needed to vote for your favorite from the top 12 acts.
