Traditionally, the finalists that are chosen after the judges' houses round are the only ones to compete in the live shows, but if the details of this new twist are to be believed, the "X Factor" final twelve will turn into the final sixteen.
A show insider said that Simon Cowell has been thinking of doing an "X Factor" wildcard show for a while, but this will be the year his idea is made into a reality. The source said, "On the first live show next Saturday, all 20 of the singers and bands who didn't make it through will come back on the show. And on the night, the four judges will get the chance to choose one act each to include in their category - effectively throwing some of the losers a lifeline to be on the show and ultimately win."
This is sure to ruffle the feathers of those who were put through to the original final twelve, particularly if one of the wildcard acts goes on to win.
Although it has been stated that the judges didn't know about this new twist when they picked their acts for the live shows, some might question whether this rule was added to save the contestants they couldn't bear to lose. The level of talent has been high this year and choosing only three acts each out of the bunch has been a struggle. With favourites like Cher Lloyd and Katie Waissel floundering at the judges' houses, this could be the life line that may save them if they aren't selected in tonight's show.
The "X Factor" wild card show has yet to be confirmed, but it wouldn't be at all surprising if Simon Cowell made it a reality.

Good reporting! :)
Should be interesting!
My predictions are Gamu for Cheryl, Marlon for Danni, Elesha for Louis and either The Reason or Husstle for Simon.
I absolutely agree with you, Ben! Gamu has so much passion and talent!
I can't understand why Cheryl put through Katie and Not Gamu. Gamu was by far the better singer and Katie forgot the words to the song she was singing at her audition.
