Looking past it's name(which appears to be a corny parody of Japanese game titles), you'll find a pretty basic Tower Defense clone. Set up turrets near walkways to prevent enemies from infiltrating your tower/base. You earn money that can be used to purchase upgrades and new weapons along the way.
South Park Tower Defense adds a little bit more to the addicting formula by allowing you to choose form one of 4 different characters, each with their own special attack. As you advance in this game, you'll be granted the ability to use all four characters at the same time. Which is a good thing, because you won't be able to win all the time by using Cartman's strengths, due to his weaknesses and the seemingly endless hoard of minor characters that are invading the town.
Being able to swap between one of four different characters at once is a nice little addition, but the real high point of this game is 4 player Co-Op. Co-Op is always fun because everybody is expected to play their position and do their jobs. When this happens, it's a thing of beauty. When it doesn't , When it doesn't, you're given free range to reticule the idiotic doofus who bragged about how great he was at the game, but evened up costing the team what looked like an easy victory. That's the perfect formula for fun right there.
Everything else in this game is old hat. Play any flash based Tower Defense, and you should get an idea of what this one has to offer. As with any licensed video game, this is strictly for fans of the series. If you used to watch South Park, but haven't in a while, It's good for a few days or so. If your obsessed with the series and feel that every new episode is better than the previous, stop watching television and find something better to do with your free time.
I'm still waiting for a South Park fighting game, done in the vein of that "Good Times with Weapons" episode. The world has seen enough Tower Defense by now. This is fun, and should be played by those who are not familiar with this genre and just happen to be South Park fans, but it's not special enough to get me too excited.
