Xeriscape Poem

Sandy James
Xeriscape is 'green' gardening;
Each plant is drought tolerant;
Rainwater can be harvested;
Irrigation efforts are a main focus;
Select plants compatible to local conditions;
Consider soils, drainage, and sun exposure;
Aesthetics and function can be obtained;
Promote deep root growth by deep-root watering;
Established plants, shrubs, trees need less water.
