For instance, there was Jamie, who had an excellent voice by far, but he was out of the competition far too early. Then there was Danyl whose voice was equally just as superb. Why did this happen? Then John and Edward kept going. It was true that they were entertaining in their own sort way, but they couldn't sing at all. Why did the public keep them in the competition? Was it to annoy Simon Cowl? It was true that Simon did not agree that they should be still there, but it was the public's decision. How did the whole thing go wrong? But it didn't. In the end, it all came together and three excellent singers were in the finals.
There was Stacey Solomon, Ollie Murs and Joe McElderry. They were the final three. Stacey Solomon was a beautiful singer from Dagenham, Essex. Her beauty and her voice stood out. She sang her heart out, but it wasn't enough, as Ollie Murs from Colchester, Essex came onto the stage with a powerful tune that he danced perfectly to. Joe McElderry from South Shields just sang too, but his voice and his performance was outstanding.
So, let us look at the whole situation here. Going back to the last two years of X-factor, we saw Leona Lewis win in 2007 and then in 2008 Alexandra Burke won with JLS coming second. All of these artists have made a wonderful career from their talented singing. In the last two years the public picked a woman to win the X-factor competition and it could have been the public's decision to pick Stacey Solomon to win, just because the last two women had such great success. Three women winning in a row would have been a crazy reason, but looking back at these two other women winning and the success they have had it could have happened again with another woman. But it did not go that way.
In the end, Stacey Solomon came third, Ollie Murs came second and Joe McElderry the winner of X-factor 2009. Will Joe McElderry be a success like Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke or JLS? Well I suppose we will not know that until a year has passed by. He may not be as brilliant as the girls were, but we will see in time how his career goes. He does have an excellent voice, but does he have that X-factor? Will his character hold up to his voice? Will he amaze the public even more as time goes by just as Leona Lewis did? Time will tell us.
So, all we have to do now is wait to see how Joe McElderry's singing career will succeed with the songs he will record and the videos he will make. I am sure many of us will be eagerly excited to see this too!

Post a CommentI've never watched, but your recap makes it sound interesting. :-)
For 'reality', I prefer to stick with the news - but, that being said, your article got me interested in checking this show out!
Great writeup! I loved watching this season which was so full of talent. I was sad Stacey only got third, but I totally see why Joe and Ollie are so popular.
I haven't been watching it lately, thanks for catching us up.... :o)
