X-Factor Contestants Attend the Harry Potter Movie Premier in Leicester Square

The X-Factor Contestants Dress Up for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Thousands of fans turned out in London's Leicester Square on Thursday evening for the premier of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, as did the remaining contestants from the television talent show X-Factor (see pictures).

The most controversial contestant of all, Katie Waissel, turned up in a gold dress with sheer black panels. None of the crazy make-up or fashion accessories for which she is famous this time, although her hair did look rather like she had flames coming out of her head.

Cher Lloyd looked respectable in a short white dress with a silver belt and black leggings, although the outfit did leave her slender figure looking rather frail.

Rebecca Ferguson looked classy in a short orange dress with shoes to match.

The last surviving Boy Band, One Direction, looked respectably casual, each of the members retaining their independent style.

The other really controversial contestant, Wagner Carrilho from Brazil, looked cool in a black and white striped jacket with shirt open at the front to reveal plenty of bling.

It was nice to see that all the contestants were wearing poppies as a sign of respect, since the movie premier was held on Armistice Day.

Saturday sees the next X-Factor show, and it is rumoured that not one but two contestants will be eliminated this week. Viewers will no doubt be treated to video footage of the contestants at the Harry Potter movie premiere.

X-Factor is what Simon Cowell turned to after Pop Idol in the UK (same as American Idol). It's similar to American Idol, but has 4 categories of artists - Male Artists, Female Artists, Over 28 Artists, and Boy/Girl Bands. It's good, but still very similar to American Idol.
