X-mass Poems

Poems About Christmass

Chad R. Herman
The Judge

A tummy with a bowl full of juelly,
white and red suit,
chimney scars on his butt

and a gavel
and a desk to pound
and weild his law

of who is good
of who is bad

NAUGHTY!!
NAUGHTY!!

Good get the presents.
Bad get coal and sticks or
Nothing.

When did this jolly old
elf, become judge
and jury
to our sweet innocent
children?

The tree

We bring in a tree.
A good pine tree.
A tree that in the hands of

a skilled carpenter can
become a great work of
craftsmanship,

or even a cross. Christmass
a celebration of christ's
birthday,

and we bring in the main
ingrediet that was there
at the end of his life - Pine!

Happy X-mass

What is x-mass? The
presents? The cross?
Midnight Mass?

The sales. The x-mass story,
the birth on a holy night?
The ripping of beautiful
wrapping paper

on that glorious morning?
The "please can I just open
one on christmass eve" plea
that every child has uttered
at least once? Or maybe,

it's something more - to quote
from Giesel, "maybe it's not something
you can by from a store" - or maybe
just maybe it's a celebration and hope
that everyone will make it through the

long
cold
winter, and we'll all come
back together in the spring
and celebrate life, fertility,
and happiness. Just maybe.
