It amazes me that these programs are continually pumped out and people gobble them up. I wondered what was so great about Xtreme Cardio Dance and it was at that moment that I realized that I was still watching the commercial. So something must have been interesting about it. Commercials at my house usually have a 2 second life span at most.
The first thing I noticed was that I knew this instructor from somewhere and when they said it was Jaana Kunitz I was impressed. I'd seen her everywhere and like a lot of people, I marvel at her dance skills. It didn't make me think that buying Xtreme Cardio Dance would turn me into a professional dancer but it gave the program some credibility for me.
My problem with working out was that I could never stick to it. It became boring and mundane and there never seemed to be any real payoff. I always looked the same. I admit that I felt better but my workout routines were never sustainable and my money was always wasted at the gym.
So Xtreme Cardio Dance seemed to offer something more and its appeal became clear to me. It looked fun! From the commercial anyone could see that it was a good aerobic workout and the moves would obviously help develop muscles, but the promise of learning how to dance made me think I might stick with this one.
Lately we've been bombarded with Dance Shows on TV and not knowing how to dance is almost becoming a stigma of some sorts. I'm always surprised when I watch a class at the gym and everyone seems to know exactly how to do every step. It's so intimidating that I never bothered to join in.
I'm not saying that Xtreme Cardio Dance is a substitute for Dance Lessons but the four DVD's are divided into different dance categories and there is lots of instructions and basics you can pick up from each. They are Latin, Hip Hop, Disco and something called Sexy Sculpt. Each DVD will take a little practice to be able to mimic the women on your screen but there's nothing stopping you from taking your time and learning step by step while you burn some calories.
I think that's the difference between Xtreme Cardio Dance and so many other programs. Who wants to learn to lift their arm over their head 10 times? But, everyone wants to learn to dance or at least learn to move a bit more gracefully. So if you're looking for a routine which will compel you to workout over and over again, Xtreme Cardio Dance might be the one for you.
