From now on in this article, to save readers from confusion, I will refer to Yahoo! as "Yahoo".
The storage capacity for Yahoo mails users is 1 whole gig for a normal user that uses Yahoo! mail for free. I, personally, use the free option for Yahoo! mail, and I have pages upon pages of e-mails. My usage percentage of my storage is at a mere 2%. Yahoo also gives use capacity bar, which shows you how much of your storage capacity you have used so far. The bar ranges from 0%-100%. It takes lots of time, and lots of e-mail to even reach the 100% mark, so you're good on storage capacity for a long, long time.
Another helpful feature about Yahoo's e-mail is that there is a way to get an icon to appear on your Internet Explorer toolbar to show when you get new e-mails, even if you're currently not looking at www.yahoo.com, or any of its subpages. You can also get Yahoo e-mail notifications on your cell phone as well.
In order to log into your Yahoo mail, you must have a Yahoo ID, which not only allows you to check your e-mail, but you can also use it to play tons of games, using Yahoo messenger, checking out music, and much, much more.
Yahoo also has advanced antivirus protection, so you don't get any viruses through heinous e-mails easily. This can actually save you tons of money in the long run, and the best part is that it is free to you, the user.
One of the newer features included on Yahoo is the ability to have your ID logged on for up to 2 weeks without having to put in your personal information over and over. In order to initiate this new feature simply click the check box that is located under where you type in your password to log into your Yahoo e-mail account. However, if you're on a computer that you share with multiple people, or you're on a public computer, say, at a library or something, do not click this checkbox. If you do, other people will be able to check your e-mail without putting in your password. It is a great feature, but it is also a double-edged sword if you do it in the wrong place.
I highly suggest using Yahoo email, as it is the best and most reliable choice when it comes to e-mail in general.
