Yahoo Groups the Hidden Facts Behind Them!

Are you a Member to a Yahoo Group that requires you to have their Link and Banner on the front page of your website/websites?

First off there is One in particular: Although the name is going to stay unknown, because that is what we have been advised to do. We are more than positive those of you that are reading this do not need us to give you the name of this particular site and group, it's a dead give away without naming it. Now let's get started on the important information you all need to know. There are alot of small business owners, mom business owners, and affiliates that belong to this group. Now...to be a Member there is a Catch! You MUST place the Banner of that group on your site, and if you do have more than one site, it better be on that one too. Now, I know your saying so, what is wrong with that? This is where it shows how they have utilized this Rule to benefit from their members. Let me explain...ok, let's just say,there are over 4000 members and each member has this groups Banner on their site, so guess what that means? That the Owner of this Group, is reaping the benefits of atleast 4000 members, then each time a member has visitors to their site, the owner gains more and more. See what you members are not realizing is,that by it being a Must and a Demanded Rule to have the Banner on your site, You the member are the advertiser for the owner and all the sites the owner has. Mind you, I said Sites! Therefore, this owner is getting more and more visitors, let alone these visitors see all the other sites she has, then of course that opens her up to more business. How many of you see your Banner on her Front page? Sure a couple, here and there. Not for long periods, as her Banner is on your site as long as you are a Member! Remember that! Now then, sure you have a Link in the directory....oh boy....how many other members are selling the exact same things you are? Tons of them, so you are not only another Link (not Banner, just a Link) you are also competing with tons of other members who sell the same thing as you. Plus, the abundance of all the newbie memebers, who have no clue that when they join, they will be attacked by the members that have been there for a long time, to get the new member to buddy up with them, and buy from them. Basically swaping money back and forth. To top that off, you all are buying from each other, as I recall in this group, members are exchanging links with each other, buying from each other, so your links and money goes back and forth, Never going any farther than inside the group. There may be a 5 in the 4000 that have actually grown, but ask yourself this? Who is the member with the most growth? Who owns that site? Could it possibly be the owner of the group you are in? With that said, being a Member in this group is really not such a benefit for you as it is the owner of the group! Just think about this all.....start talking to other members, compare notes, pay attention to the constant reminder of the Rules, how to post, what to post, what not to say, what to say, how to act, basically you have to walk on egg shells...have you noticed how some members seem to be at the top of the list week after week after week? Now, voicing your opinion can also cause you alot of problems and troubles within the group, the owner really frowns on members speaking out, see she feels that she is the only one allowed to do this. Start looking back in the post history.....you will notice these things. Also, look back in the post history at who gets answers, who seems to have more of a voice within the group. See a group or a network group of any sort should be Team Work and each person should be able to speak their opinion. That is Not so in this group, sure you think your voicing your opinion, but..... are you getting anywhere with that opinion? In this particular group, you will notice how when there is any question, or doubt from a member, or a member does not agree with the owner, the owner becomes very defesive and flat out wants the posts to stop! Haven't you noticed this? That is something alot of members have seen, and the past history post files can prove this.

Do you have your link in the group directory? If so, remember, have the "Special" Banner on your site, or else you won't get picked to have the owner of the group look at your site, or win a T-shirt to advertise the owner of the group! What you will get: Is an email stating the owner did not see the "Special" Banner of her group on your site, and to be a member, that is required! That is what the owner calls the "Give Back" program? Now that sounds like a great program, if your the owner of the group. Now, as she gets more money from members paying for advertising in her site, and sponsors, she says she has and uses the "Give Back" program. Well this is true, but the owner uses your money to give to herself, or in otherwords pay herself to look at your sites just to see her banner. 1. See the owner has you pay for advertising in specific spots in her site, or you may so call sponsor to get Your site seen, is actually taking the money and putting it in Her pocket. 2. Then states that she uses Your money for her to take out about 2 minutes of her time, to check your site for Her Banner. Wow, your paying her to look at your site! 3. Oh she sees your banner, Yeah!!! This is what you get: A measly T-shirt with Her Company Name on it. Now aren't you "Special"? Then you get a front page ad for how long? Not long at all, not even close to how long you must have her banner on your front page. By the way, now that you won a T-shirt you can now advertise her site more, so she can makes more money! What a deal! 4. Oh Front Page exsposure on Her site. Oh boy, your Famous now....see that front page add is just a temporary thing. You only are there for what a day? So now that you have not only given her money to advertise your site, by a measly Link in the directory, You now have paid her to advertise Her own site! Now that is clever!

Let's begin with how YOU as a member to that group are helping them promote themselves, and the many Plugs they have in a Non-Profit site they offer. 1. Take a look at the Team behind the group, the owner, and staff. Or as they say: "Volunteers" First off you will see that the owner throughout the entire site continually Plugs her web hosting, and design shopp. As you the member of a Non-Profit site goes through this group, notice how many Plugs the owner has within it. Hint, with the owners Link or Banner on your site, you are now her advertisement to get more work to her other sites. 2. Now from the word of Actual Members, if you decide to have the owner Host your Domain & site, you are under the impression that the domain is actually yours right? Not so, see what really happens is you get Locked in with the Domain you want, but you are NOT the owner of the Domain, the host locks you in by owning your domain so that you can NOT transfer it to any other host. Now, by research from other professional hosting sites, that is really not fair to you. If you are paying for your domain, and decide to leave to go to another host, you should be able to take your domain name with you. Not in this group! So using this lady as your host, she is Scamming in her own way to Lock you in, making you responsible to pay whether you stay or leave. Sounds rather Fishy if you ask me. Now other hosts let you take your domain name, NOT this lady! Advertising in this ladies site: First off, they say that they are Not Advertised based! How untrue, if you look throughout the site, that is all they do, is advertise, sell advertising and let alone, they have so many Plugs for their own sites, page after page after page. Every where! So tell me how are they a Non-profit site, if they are selling: T-shirts, Filler Bags, Stickers, Customized Bags, and advertisement? In which all these products are their very own Promotional Tool to get business. So there you have it. This Non-Profit site is proving themselves that they do the opposite, they are a Profit site, and they do advertise, yet for a price. So how can they be a Non-Profit site? Are you seeing my point yet?????

Now on to the Rules they have..... We are only going to cover the 2 most Contradicting Rules, the others are just...blah, blah, blah. Rule # 4 states: There is to be NO posting of defamatory, slanderous, libelous comments anywhere withing the site, groups, emails, and so on....also stating: "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all" Now how can they say this, when if you look in the Post History of the group, they themselves, meaning the owner and volunteers have done what they say should NOT be done. That is, making defamtory, sladerous, and libelous comment about some of their own members, past members, and members they have banned! Now isn't that a contradiction in terms? Or is it a ONE WAY STREET? Here is another Rule that shows proof in contradiction to Rule 4. The Group (Meaining the owner of this particular group) is NOT responsible for the views of its members. Comments posted to any of the Groups email lists or member areas of the website are the responsibility of the author. Meaning that Rule 4 really doesn't hold up! What a way to contradict the rules! With that said, do you now see how this group works yet? Another important update on the Rules for the Give Back program. It IS required to have the owners Link or Banner to be selected! As we stated on another page, being selected is based on YOU the member having this specific Banner on your Front Page! Mind you the Front page of Your site! Then once selected you will get the T-shirt with the Group Name on it, (Plugging the owner of this site, once again), then you also will get your banner in rotation, which is really not that much of a Plug for you and your site, since every page there is more Plugs for the owner of this group. Now, you only get 7 days to redeem your prize, that helps promote the owner of this site. They also state that they will only post it in the interactive group for you to find. Also stating that they will NOT notify you, they don't feel they should hunt down the winner. Now what kind of Give Back is that, if they don't make an effort in notifying the winner? Meaning if you are not active or more less, constantly posting in the interactive group, you may never know if you won. On top of that, you only get 7 days to redeem your or let's just say the prize to promote them. What if you are on vacation? or not very active? Well guess you SOL! MMMmmmm.....we have all seen how contests work, and from experience if you are a selected Winner, you get a personal contact, email, or letter stating you are the winner. Not so in this group! So what is the point in a give back program if it is not going to notify a member personally? Are you seeing the manipulation yet? They are manipulating you members without you even noticing!

Answer these questions: Is this site & group really promoting you? Why are there so many members with so many of the same type of sites and products? Isn't that members competing against each other? The Benefits of being a Member to this particular site and group: To Promote and Support Mutual Goals. Now as I see it, yes they are promoting, but not the members as much as they do their own site/sites! That is an obvious give away. My advise to any of you who are reading this, if you are a member or plan on becoming a member: Read the Member Benefits VERY carefully. Browse the site in all categories and start counting the Plugs they personally have for their own site and their other sites, you will see where the promoting is really going. As for members following the Do not defame, slander, or libel rule, they are calling the Kettle Black! As they themselves have in fact PROVEN that 1. Contradiction in the Rules 2. They have created a site based on the exact Rules they proclaim that they do not want happening in their group or site! What does that say now about this group? 1. They continue to CONTRADICT themselves. 2. Do as I say, not as I do, type Rules. 3. It's a One way Street. You are just the one following them. 4. Being a Winner to a Prize that does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for you as a member, but PROMOTE THE OWNER of the site you belong to. 5. Why would you buy filler bags, when you can go to Walmart, or Micheal's and get them for so much less, and not have to pay shipping? 6. Do you want to promote a FALSE COMPANY? They say they are Non-profit, yet still make money selling their own promotional products, and selling advertising. That is not considered a Non-profit company. Now wouldn't that fall under the SCAM type rules? 7. How are you doing in this group? Have you gotten sales from the so called "Reaching out Farther" from this group? What exactly does "Reaching out Father" mean? Reaching deeper in your pockets is what it means!! Our goal behind our 411 is to help those of you who are either a member to this site, or thinking of becoming a member, to see what this site and it's group is REALLY about. The fine print that you are unable to read. The hidden message, that has MANIFUPLATED many members! Now have you all started to think a little? Use your minds and realize, what has been done to you? MMMmmm....do you like being made a fool? Do you like being associated with the group that is so well known for the Cat Fights, the name calling, the brown nosers, and so on? Growing a business is not done by joining groups, networks, and sites that the members buy from each other. Or that you are REQUIRED TO HAVE THEIR BANNER AND LINK, Have any of you checked to see where you stand in these groups???? Well look who is at the TOP 10! Those are most likely the owner of the original group, see now you may not know this but the owner has alot of other websites. Then the next 7 or so are the brown nosers! These are the people that have made "Deals with the Devil" to be on top. Just read posts from certain members, you will see how they brown nose. All the while you the Newbie or Semi-Newbie, and None brown nosers, sit there waiting for your next sale, maybe you'll get a response to your posts, or in most cases you end up buying from a member, and well they buy from you. So that means all this group is really doing is absolutly Nothing. Let me show you something: See the deal is, now if you "Sponsor" or do the Devils Deads and dirty work, You are Guaranteed to be on the top of the owners "goodie to shoe" list. Wow, that is special huh? It once again, gives her a way to not be the "Bad Guy" and still make money off the fools who help her! Can you tell me is that what a Network Group is suppose to be about? See that is a form of SCAMMING! Since the owner is so against Scamming, you are not realizing this people, she is actually Promoting it! These groups, sites, and networks have alot of you so fooled, or as has been done over and over....Manipulated. I just can't believe what some of you are doing for them. This is just a true shame, to be SCAMMED BY YOUR OWN GROUP OWNER!!!! Wow that is harsh, yet clever if scamming your members to be on top is what your wanting. Now if you were paying attention, actions speak louder than words. Meaning look at all the different sites the owner has, how she promotes her own sites, with her business links and banners always being at the top. Yes these groups are filled with it! GREEDY, Whinny, Full of Rumors, Cat Fights, Constant Competition for the NEWBIE to steal, type of people, Do you want to be associated with that? Have you all thought about this any???? Well If I were you, I would get the heck out before they start crap on you! Yes they do that kind of stuff, and use Members to do the attacking so they are not in the wind of it all! Wow, now that is what I call a "Sneaky" owner, let's use our members to do the diry work! What is really bad, is there are specific members in the group that just sit there knowing this is all going on, afriad to speak their 2 cents, because if they say they don't agree, or don't like that kind of stuff they will get banned! Or better yet, get attacked by the "followers" of the group, and in some or most cases: Banned from the group, with a nice email stating "you have been removed from the group". So you quiet members who don't stand up and state that this is not right, you too look just as bad as the brown nosers! What are you afraid of? This group is really just a bunch of Unhappy women who have nothing better to do with their time, than talk, harass, cause grief against people they just don't like. Now that I have warned you all, get out, stop being taken advantage of, don't let the people use you!
