Ya'll Come on Down to Dayton, Texas and Stay at the Best Western Hotel and Suites!

Dayton, Texas is a Great Little Town, so Come on Down!

The Best Western in Dayton, Texas is located on Highway 90, (1751 West #90), between Beaumont, Texas and Houston making this a good stop-over when traveling across Texas. This is a fairly new facility, extremely well maintained with up-to-date rooms and a welcoming outdoor pool outfitted with a waterfall and palm trees.

This location is in a quiet area about 35 miles east of Houston allowing for a break from the crazy big city traffic. The hotel offers a continental breakfast with the usual fare of pastries, juices, cereals and toaster items, but it has the added benefit of being located right next to a steak and seafood restaurant. It's a short walk next door for a hot meal, and then back for a soak in the pool and a good night sleep in a cozily decorated room. (If staying for a few days or over the weekend, lunch offerings at the restaurant are also good.)

Dayton, Texas is a small town situated in the middle of other small towns; east of Crosby, Texas and west of Liberty, Texas. Interstate 90 offers a straight shot to Houston and you will leave the big city feeling behind when commuting to this Best Western location. The NASA Space Center is a short drive from Dayton, and Galveston is 45 miles away making this a good vacation stop for the family.

The Best Western is close to this writer's home and in the past we have used this facility for 'over-flow' guests during hot summer weekends (love the pool!), and during the winter Holiday Season. Trust me; it has come in very handy. The staff is always welcoming and helpful, giving tips on upcoming local events and festivals, as well as good places to shop and eat. Dayton, being small, does not have a large downtown but there are nice local shops and a number of good eateries. Team this town up with Liberty and Crosby, and it is easy to fill up a day with antique searching and food sampling.

The location is central to many interesting and fun attractions such as Houston for the museums, or Kemah/Galveston for the beaches. Traffic anywhere in this southern region is just nuts, and finding good accommodations at affordable prices is difficult. We have reserved in advance and paid an average of $75.00 to $99.00 for a double queen, $89 for a single king. Kids under 12 stay free making it great when all the grand-kids come along.

Whether passing through or staying for a few days add this Dayton location to your list of places to stay and this writer feels you will be pleased.

On the down side, pets are not accepted at the hotel, but there are numerous boarding kennels in the Dayton/Liberty/Crosby area for your Fido and Kitty to stay while you enjoy the coastal areas of Texas.

Ya'll come on down and visit soon!
