I am starting this list with one of my sons favorite places to go Alligator Adventure.
Alligator Adventure is located on Highway 17 at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This lively attraction has so many wonderful animals including Alligators, Snakes, Tortoises, Crocodiles, Tigers and even Zebras. During warm weather they have awe inspiring Alligator feedings. Now in cooler weather gators don't eat so they have gator handling and lectures. During these shows you can actually touch a living Alligator (with a handlers help) and even get your picture taken with one. They even have the largest Crocodile in captivity "UTAN". Throughout the day they have shows to watch like Utan comes out at 12:30 daily, the Lemur's are at 11:00 and 4:30, Tiger talk 11:30 and 5:00, Alligator show 1:00 and 3:00. Please call 843-361-0789 for updated times and shows. Prices are as follows Adults $16.95, Seniors $14.95, Children 4-12 $10.95, 3 and under FREE. As an EXTRA you get second day admission FREE. Operating hours are 10-6 daily.
Waccatee Zoo is located at 8500 Enterprise Rd, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Open daily 10-5 (weather permitting) call 843-650-8500 for more details. It has 1.5 miles of trails and consists of 500 acres. The zoo has Kangaroos, Zebras, Camels, beautiful Birds and much more. For your little ones that can't make the entire mile and a half walk they have wagon rentals. There is also food you can fed the animals a souvenir shop, a snack bar and a picnic area to enjoy.
Ripley's has several places the family can enjoy. Starting with the Ripley's Aquarium at Broad at the Beach. Open Sunday-Thursday 9-7 and Friday and Saturday 9-9 starting November 2. They are open 365 days a year! Prices are $18.99 adults, $9.99 6-11, $3.99 2-5, under 2 FREE. The aquarium has amazing exhibits. I could stay in there and watch the sea turtle swim all day. There is a touch a Ray Bay, Rainbow Rock, Discovery Center, Stingray Bay, Rio Amazon, Living Gallery, Dangerous Reef and Systems Control. I also saw new for this year they have a gallery for new born babies.
Ripley's Believe it or not on N. Ocean Boulevard is a museum dedicated to everything weird he has come across in his lifetime. There is themed galleries, illusions, videos, real exhibits and original things to see. Remember when you come here and every thing you see "Believe it or Not"
Prices for adults are $13.99, children 6-11 $7.99, 5 and under FREE. They are open Sunday - Thursday 10-7 and Friday - Saturday 10-10.
Ripley's Haunted Adventure also on N Ocean Blvd is open Sunday - Thursday 2p - 7p and Friday - Saturday 4p - 12 A. Children under 6 not admitted. The Haunted Adventure is three floors with live actors dress up. There is special effects and it is very dark and scary. If you are easily scared I do not recommend this one for you. I was not even able to make it past the elevator on this one. I had to turn around and go back. Good Luck!
Ripley's Moving Theater N Ocean Blvd. Open Sunday - Thursday 10 - 7 and Friday - Saturday 10 - 10. What an experience it is. You have to be 43" tall to ride. It does say no heart problems and such so be careful. But if you are able to enjoy this movie theater it is one awesome adventure. You actually feel like your in a runaway truck and it is scarier than anything. Its also fun at the same time.
Ripley's Marvelous Mirror Maze is $8 ages 6 and up. The Mirror Maze is open Sunday - Thursday 10-7 and Friday and Saturday 10-10. That is all the details the website has for it.
