I could not help but notice,
Within the winds of spring,
How quickly now the seasons change.
Time drifts somewhere beyond the tides.
If I could just capture this day
Hold it in my arms,
And not let it be washed out to sea.
Off shore in that place of mystery,
I see past the mist
to what yet might be...
In that distant space of shadows and longings,
Are all my tomorrows.
Within the winds of spring,
How quickly now the seasons change.
Time drifts somewhere beyond the tides.
If I could just capture this day
Hold it in my arms,
And not let it be washed out to sea.
Off shore in that place of mystery,
I see past the mist
to what yet might be...
In that distant space of shadows and longings,
Are all my tomorrows.
