Yell "Fudge" at the Cobras in North America Day

You may not know it (certainly I didn't) but there are many crazy National Holidays, although most don't make the top ten lists on printed calendars.

June seems to have its share of goofy recognized days, weeks and months. For instance did you know that in June there is Cancer from the Sun Month, International Surf Music Month, Turkey Lovers Month, Iced Tea Month, National Accordion Awareness Month (wouldn't you just love to go to that annual meeting!), National Potty Training Awareness Month and my personal favorite among the list of many - National Bathroom Reading Month.

Weeks were even more hysterical. There was National Clothesline Week, Meet a Mate Week - I was uncertain if this was in reference to a soul mate or some sort of sailor. I'll leave it to your imagination. Included was Watermelon Seed Spitting Week, Fish are Friends, Not Food! Week - although that week spilled into July also. And certainly nobody would want to miss Carpenter Ant Awareness Week celebrated from June 20^th to the 26^th.

The website stated that all holidays had been cross referenced with the associations listed and were, indeed, actually recognized. Here are a few that only warranted a day rather than a week or month. There was Heimlich Maneuver Day, National Go Barefoot Day, VCR Day, Upsy Daisy Day (again, I'll leave that to your imagination), Ball Point Pen Day, and Crowded Nest Awareness Day - I wonder if birds celebrate this day also? Also scheduled was Stupid Guy Thing Day. Can you narrow that down to just one day? KIDDING!

My all-time favorite however is 'Yell "Fudge" at the Cobras in North America Day' celebrated on June 2^nd. I have absolutely no idea what that really is and I was afraid to visit their website and find out. Some things are better left to the experts.
