Yes, the Pen is Mighty

Ink seeps like a sleeve to pierce the tongue,
to sow dreams forth from the bowel
of the pen. From the bower of a distant knoll

to wash what the world would know, to break,
to strain, and like this slice of bread dip
and weave, wedge the pallet with a sip of wine

and slip of the tongue. Let it sink and slip
like the finest taste, web the wandering mind,
dive beneath the waves of life's own blood.
